How was the Western PA Support/Cooking group

maiden meeting yesterday?>???

Sorry I missed it, I was so looking forward to being there.  I ended up getting "stuck" at work for about 90 minutes overtime........ughhhhhhhhh.  

Details...I want details LOL.    Cant wait to hear how it went, and hopefully I can avoid work and be at the next meeting

Not too many details to share, saddly enough... We only had 3 people show up, including myself. It was pretty dissapointing! Hopefully we'll have a better turn out next time around. We're aiming for maybe the 18th of July.

awww I am so sad I couldnt make it, and sorry that the turnout was low.  These things take time and patience to get going I suppose.  Thank you SOOOOOOOOOO much for the time and energy that you are putting into this...Jena  YOU ROCK.      Again,  let me know if i can do anything to help

Don't be too dissappointed! My first meeting only had 3 people also - now we are up to almost 20 (up to almost 30!) a month! It just takes the word of mouth - also try and get in touch with the hospitals/surgeons in the area and ask them to spread the word at their meetings.

Keep going at it - it will catch on!

Sorry that I also didn't make it to the Pgh Support Meeting!I'll definately plan better for the next one...the 18th?I'll be on the liquid diet...and will definately need some "support" Thanks again, as Denise said, for all the planning and coordinating!I'm sure it will take a little while for everyone to catch on.  Did anyone have any ideas for meeting places...with kitchens?Pat
