Good Morning Everyone,
While most of you may have off, after my AA meeting and a walk with Utley, I am heading to my hospital job for the day.  I am filling in for someone who is taking the day off.

After work, I will go for a swim, and then tidy up this disaster of an apartment.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning Trish!

I hope you have a good shift at the hospital!

Well today is the BIG DAY for Mary and Norm!!!  And that's basically what my day revolves around!

I have a hair appointment at 10. On the way there I may stop at the farmers market here in Easton...but the timing might not work out to well.  I'm getting these roots taken care of, a cut, and style.  I may get it cut significantly shorter than what it is now - haven't decided yet!

I assume I won't be home till about 12:30 or 1pm after all that....and then will get dressed in my girly outfit and get ready to celebrate in the joy of the happy couple!  I just hope I can get through it without crying and ruining my make up - I'm such a sap!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

See a lot of you tonight!!!

Pam

Yeah, the weekend's here, but yet another day hybernating from the world, too ashamed to see my friends because of my weight. September is coming.  The complex I live in has a pool, I might go sit by the pool for a bit today.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Please don't hide from the world--you can still live a life while waiting for surgery....I know the summer is hard for alot of us but still the one thing I learned from this journey is not to shut out the people who care for you.  You need a support system in place.  If you want to talk or anything just pm me.  Hope you feel better...remember pm if you need to talk!

I agree with Laura.. don't hide.   Where are you from? Are you close to anyone on here that  you can start to hang out with? You need a great support system around you and you have us!

Go to the pool and enjoy the sunshine thinking about how great you are going to look there next summer!!

Originally, I am from Philly.  Had to relocate to North Jersey for my job.  I am a Toys R Us kid now.  Guess that's why my name is spelled with a G, like the Toys R Us Giraffe....lol

My old boss who is also my friend, lives in my complex 2 weeks out of the month.  She travels back and forth from Vermont, so it's not so bad half of the time.  Most of my friends are in the S. Jersey, Philly, Delaware area.

I am okay though, just looking forward to getting the weight off.

NOrth Jersey isn't all that far! I am in Easton (across the river from Phillipsburg) We are here if you need anything! AND I have a support group meeting in my house and a cooking class once a month. 7/11 is our next day - I'll post more details this week - or PM me if you want them!

Sept will be here before you know it!

I remember the summer before my surgery, I was tempted to hide, but decided I would just act as if I was already thin, and live my life to the fullest.  I walked a lot, swam in the pool, over 300 pounds, but I swam everyday for at least 20 minutes.  I tried to eat moderately, with high protein and low fat.  I only ate sugar once a day, in the evening, and it was not a binge, but a "last supper" type of treat.  I prayed a lot for the acceptance of where I was at, and the ability to make the changes I needed to make in my diet and thinking after the surgery.

Try to remember the docs are going to operate on your stomach.  Support groups and this wonderful forum are how I work on my thinking.  Keep posting here, and sharing.  This board got me through that summer, and everyone since.

Hugs,
Trish
