What do they do at ur 2 week checkup?
Yeah..thanks. I know they are but I am really really broke. Plus, I just started a job and well I am going to be working tomorrow anyways and I could not get off for my appt. However, I did schedule the time off for my 6 week visit to make sure I can go there. I will be working now Mon-Fri 7am-330pm. And it just so happens I start work Tomorrow on my the day of my 2week followup and I had a hard enough time saving money to even go to my surgery I did not have any other extra to save for the 2 week one and of course I knew that I was going to have that appt and I knew before I left I was not going to be able to make that appt. My mom ended up helping me out to go to my surgery and giving me 200 dollars that I have to pay her back..I really do not want to be in debt any further than that with anyone else. I hate borrowing money because they it puts my bills behind because I pay them back first. I am already 2 months behind on rent, and about 3 months behind on all other utilities bills. It is really really bad. I had my truck repoed already. I do not know..things are horrible at this point and it is because a few months ago my hubby had hardly now work and was out of work for awhile and now he is back to work.
Life can be difficult and I hope things turn around financially for you very soon - but if you really can't get in to see her then you must call her and maybe she could even talk to your PCP so he/she knows what to cover with you or look for - please don't let this wait until your 6 week check-up - at least go to the pcp so your incisions can be checked, your bloodwork done, etc. This is a very serious surgery and something that really needs to be monitored closely the first few months out.
I have had two 'after' appointments and I did not have to pay a co pay or anything. You know, your first oil change when you buy a new car? The first ones are on the dealer. As fasr as gas? 20 bucks, maybe? If you've already borrowed from your mom and she understands, if she can she will give it to you. Moms will never take a chance with their kids health, no matter how old they are.
Call them and ask. if it is not included, explain what is going on. Ask if you can make payments on the visit. If you have to do this then you should have it paid off by the next visit.
Try to make the last or first appointment in the day and tell you new boss that you have recently had surgery and have to be at this appointment. You will be in as soon after your appointment as you can.Or will leave an hour before(or however long it takes to get there)
This is serious stuff and if it was not neccesary, then they wouldn't schedule it.
Not that this has anything to do with it, but my previous employer was not at all sympathetic or under standing. That is why they are my previous employer. I found a job that I knew my being off occasionally or leaving early would not be an issue. Unless I abuse it. Of course, I found the job before I quit.
