New, happy, excited, scared, bummed!

Hi there - I'm a Dr Boe patiient and I loved him, Barix and the whole team - not to mention the fantastic people on these boards. You are feeling very normal emotions right now - it would scare me if you weren't a little scared because this is life-changing, major surgery, but if you've come this far it sounds like you're ready and prepared for the journey ahead. We all deal with our food issues on a daily basis and I think we always will - some days we don't win the battle but in the end we are finally winning the war.

The tool only works if you work with it - if you don't then yes, you can fail. But don't set yourself up for failure - tell yourself that this is a positive time and you are making a positive move toward a happier, healthier, long life - one that is filled with wonder and awe as you shed the weight and are able to do those things you used to be able to do or always wanted to do but couldn't. And imagine going off most or all of your meds that are weight related - how wonderful that will feel!

Come here often - this board is a very positive, uplifting forum and there are always plenty of people out here to help you thru the rough times with positive reinforcement or a swift kick in the arse if needed!! LOL!!
