I realize I have no patience ....... BUT

When should I start wondering/questioning when it comes to getting into a program? I'd thought about WLS for a long time, finally attended a seminar, filled out my paperwork that night/mailed next day, and now ............... it's been over a month and nada.
I know I'm anxious ........... if you ever saw me on a morning Springsteen tickets are about to go on sale (I'd rather you didn't haha) you would understand.

Am I being unrealistic to expect a call? Something just to say "Hey, we got your info ..... it looks like you would be a good  prospect for our program, we've contacted your insurance carrier, etc.......... and we'll let you know how this is progressing"  I don't know if there are things I could be doing now to expedite the process.

It's new territory, so I'm just a little frustrated.

I think a line or two in a Springstten song triggered this post :

But it's a sad man my friend who's livin' in his own skin
And can't stand the company
Every fool's got a reason to feelin' sorry for himself
And turn his heart to stone
Tonight this fool's halfway to heaven and just a mile outta hell
And I feel like I'm comin' home

Just don't tell me to stop listening. I'll give up food and quit smoking ......... but "BRuuuuuuuCE" stays. lol

First of all congrats on taking the first step!

Which hospital/Dr are you working with. I would absolutely call!

Liz

PS - work on that quitting smoking now - you will have to for surgery! And why not start your "new life" as healthy as possible right?

And Bruce stays! lol

The seminar I attended was with Dr. Brader in Lancaster.

Oh then definately call and ask Karen - GREAT GREAT group!! LOVE Dr Brader and the entire staff is fantastic!! He did my surgery in 2007 while he was still at Barix but I do all my follow up stuff with him in Lancaster!

Ask away if you have any questions, I'm an open book!

Hi - definitely call.  It won't hurt.  I had my seminar on March 6, notified my surgeons office on March 9th to proceed with the approval process and was approved by my insurance company on March 18.  I have Keystone Health Plan East.

HI!! Well I was kinda the same way--made the decision and then wanted to move on it--IMMEDIATELY!!! LOL But I would call and say you wanted to know if they recieved your paperwork, etc and then ask "what is the next step?"  Always follow up!  Good luck!

(Bruce will always be "The Boss"!!! )

Love Bruce and totally understand the anxiety when tickets go on sale... but any good Bruce fan would take matters into their own hands and call the doctor's office ;)

call them, with the move and staff changes it is very possible that they could have overlooked a call to you. It has been long enough now to where you should have heard something
