update on Abby
I posted this at the bottom of the Abby's on the bench thread, but wanted to be sure it got to the top:

Hello all.. I just came from visiting Abby in the hospital. She is sore, scared, nervous, gassy, tired, excited, etc etc etc.
I assured her that everything she is feeling is normal and it will only get better from here on out. Her daughter is going to pick her up around 4, I believe, so she will be home tonight!! She was definitely ready to go home where it is comfortable! She is getting some support from home, but will definitely need us --- so gather the troops and bring on the love!!! We will be her backbone!!!

Thanks for the update. I remember the myriad of emotions that went with the early period of recuperation.

Awwww Liz, thanks. 
I thought about mentioning the class to her, but thought better of it considering she was only having water at the time. I did make sure she knew that I was there just a few days post op and even though I was on liquids at the time, the food smells didn't bother me a bit and it was just great being there with all of you. I will probably offer to meet her somewhere so we can go together if she is not comfortable coming by herself.
