Okay well I went to make this pudding receipe to add any whey to the pudding and well of course my magic bullet is to small to fit all the required ingredients in it. So a mess was made LOL..I just took some out and just kept adding what I had to..to a little bit of it..Anyways I was making pudding with extra protein in it and well I got the cook & serve kind...well I am not good a cooking LOL..something as easy as that so anyways...do the receipes in the Barix Bible call for exactly what your suppose to do? I blended up the pudding mix and blah blah..and well I have the pudding in the fridge now..to get harden..I guess..I am praying to god it tastes good because the Shakes are not cutting it for me now and I am going to try this pudding deal LOL. However it has been in there for about an hour now and well its still watery lookin..What did I do wrong? Was I suppose to cook the pudding first like it calls for on the box then add it to any whey and blend it together? LOL

Yes, if you got cook pudding you need to let it boil, either in the microwave or on the stove top to "active" the thickener. Toss that batch and start over, you can't boil it with the protein powder in it - you have to cook it, let it cool then add the protein powder. Next time get the instant pudding - oh and it won't ever harden (instant) with soy milk - if you have trouble with milk use the lactaid.

Hope this helps

With Barix isn't the first week still JUST clear liquids and move on to full liquids and shakes in the second week?  It's been about 4 years since my surgery so I didn't know if they changed it?  If not I wouldn't think pudding would be on your meal plan just yet.

I believe it has changed.  I was clears as well.  But a lot of people who are coming out of surgery are discharged on full liquids recently
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Good luck. That is the only thing that made me almost throw up! Try Unjury or Lean Dessert Protein. They are good.

Yes it has changed I was dicharged on Full liquids for 3 whole darn weeks! I have not tried anything that is full yet tho and wednesday will be a week. I am still just on chicken broth, water, crystal light, and im adding in my shakes now too. My surgeon did say to try and have as many clear stuff first for awhile then add in the full stuff here and there until your 3 weeks of liquids is up. I pray t he next 2 weeks go by fast LOL. I am so not wanting to even drink anything tho and that is not good either.

Denise have you tried adding extra ice to your shakes when you blend them?  It makes them nice and icy and a lot easier to get down.  I know the Barix book tells you only 4 ice cubes, but I used to add more to make it more like a frozen drink.
