Restless legs and other

Does anyone else get the restless leg syndrome type feeling but in their legs and sometimes even arms/whole body?  Is this from something missing from the diet (like cake and big macs LOL!) or something depleting?  Nothing cramps really...it's just  I want to keep moving when I am trying to rest.  This even happens if I am relaxing on the couch during the day.  It's on my Dr list for this week...boy he is going to love to see me leaving!  But, I wondered if anyone else had it.

I've only ever felt that in my legs, occasionally.   Luckily, it goes away if I prop my legs up for about 15 minutes.  Don't know what I would do if it didn't - quite a frustrating and uncomfortable feeling. BTW - I am a pre-op.

I'm wondering if your b vitamin levels are low?  They affect you neurologically.  And, not to scare you, but if your levels are low enough to cause damage, the damage is generally permament.  Now..you might be way to early out for that kind of thing...but perhaps a warning sign?  My doc put me on b1 100mg and b12 1000mcg every day almost right after surgery to prevent this.

Glad you are gonna talk to your doc about it!  The other possiblities are dehydration, calcium/magnesium deficiencies.

Good luck!

I used to have restless legs before I knew there was such a thing as restless leg syndrome. I just thought it was me. I haven't had it since my bypass last year. Thank God. I had to get up to walk around because I couldn't just sit still. I'm surprised I haven't had it since my surgery.

Good luck.

I had restless leg pre-op --- officially diagnosed during sleep study for wls --- I may be weird but I always thought of it as at least I was moving something --- must be burning some calories.  In bed I practically "bounce" my husband out of bed because my legs won't stop moving.

104 lbs lost now Maintenance BABY!!!!

I got RLS after I had knee replacement surgery. Since my gastric bypass it has gotten a little worse. I was hoping it would go away but it didn't. I take Requip for it and it really helps, but makes me sleeppy. It's good that you have a Dr appt, see what he thinks/
