Greek Yogurt

Good morning all,

Is it Friday yet?  Having coffee trying to get my eyes open. :-)

I tried greek yogurt over the weekend and yuck!!, I must have done something wrong.

I bought plain and also vanilla.  I took the plain yogurt and added a package of lipton onion soup mix and it was gosh darn awful.  I haven't tried the vanilla yet.

Does anyone have any creative ideas in making the greek yogurt good?

Enjoy the day all.

I cannot eat the flavored ones because they have too much sugar in them.

What you did with it does sound yuck :)

I eat it everyday
I get plain and i add a splenda packet and some SF strawberry or peach preserves
I also sometimes just mash up some berries in it with some splenda it depends on what i have

Thank you for asking this question.  I was hesitating on buying the greek yogurt because I could only find the large containers.  Yesterday, I found some smaller individual servings and I bought one vanilla flavored.  I was wanting to post for suggestions...so I love your question!

I have notebook and pencil poised for action...

to 5 oz of plain 0 fat greek yogurt add a heaping tablespoon of Jell-0 Sugar Free Instant Pudding and Pie Filling.

Just the powder, not made up.  Stir thoroughly until no clumps and it is an even consistency.  My favorites are Pistachio or Banana Cream.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

I add SF Apple Sauce and a little Splenda. Fortunately, I like it but it takes some getting used to

I tried it several times several different ways and still hate it. The only way I can tolerate it is if i use it like sour cream. I put some on top of refried beans and cheese. It tastes just like sour cream. I can't do anything sweet to it because it just tastes bad to me.

I'm not a huge fan either but for a change in my diet I'll grab a small container of the plain and stir in sugar free jelly - usually a strawberry or raspberry flavor. I can't tolerate any of the flavored yogurts out there because they have too much sugar - not too upset about it since yogurt has never been a fav of mine!

It is an aquired taste for sure. The first two times I had it I was not a fan.
Now I eat it everyday. So try it a few times and a fews ways and maybe come back to it later
the taste buds do change

Try diffreent brands too- I don't like the okikos but the fage and chobani I do like - I also get the 2% fat - to me it isn't as tangy and smoother. I add pudding mix, jelly, fruit and splenda - for something sweet. Or you can add horseraddish, blue cheese, onion soup mix and dip things like veggies in it.

ETA - you can also add it into smoothies or protein shakes
