I'm at work and tryign to get organized for a Monday morning.  Then I've got ti figure out when I can make time to get the lawn mowed.

FYI -- the only good puppy is a tired puppy!  And, with some training, your pup can be taught to opent he crate door (from the outside)... my young gryehound Tania does that.    Then you go by to latch the door closed behing them!

Good Morning everyone,

Today is my kids first full day of summer vacation.Drew already set up a playdate for the day and I am taking Emma shopping and to get new brakes on my car....how exciting!!
I am off this week and plan to hang out with them before I start my new job at Nutrisystem next Monday. Then the kids are off to camp.

I am heading back to the gym tomorrow after not going since last Tuesday. The end of last week was crazy busy with the end of the school year.

It has been three months since my surgery and I can't believe how good I feel. I am down  60 pounds now and my energy level is so high. Mentally, still a challenge and I am sure it will always be.
I hope everyone has a great day and GOOD LUCK to all the people having surgery tomorrow. We can't wait for you to join us on the Losers bench!!

Good morning Trish and PA.

Good luck tomorrow Abby and Lisa.

Norm, looking forward to the big day on Saturday!

I'm back from a great weekend at the shore with our little Abby.  Hubby and I took her without her mother.  Even though the weather was really, really bad, we still had a great time.

I'm now in work and will be meeting an old HR Director for lunch.  I haven't seen her since 2000 and she has no clue about my WLS, so I'm curious to see if she recognizes me standing on the corner waiting for her.  Last time she saw me I was 350lbs!

After work it's home to catch up on some things and then figure out a menu for the week.

Have a great day everyone!
Eileen

Good morning - oops - I mean afternoon all!  It has been a busy morning - I don't understand - I have no students that I have to teach - yet 6 of them came back in to help me clean up my room - that I thought I would have had done but of course, I did not!  And this is the first chance I have had to sit down and catch up on what everyone is doing!  After school today, I am having a social worker come over for a home visit to get the process started to see about getting Molly a wrap-around for school next year to keep her focused - of course, today is usually the day the cleaning ladies come so I was fine with someone coming for a home visit - and wouldn't it figure - they can;t come until tomorrow! Oh well - maybe DHS will be called because my house is such a mess LOL!!!!

Tonight there is a HUGE union meeting for the Philadelphia Teachers at the Liacouras Center at Temple University.  It is expected to be well attended and the admistrators and their union were also invited - it seems that everyone is a bit unhappy with our new leadership in the district!

Still haven't packed the kids for overnight camp or me for Israel - man - sometimes, things just NEED to slow down!

Hope you all have a nice day - there is the ACTUAL sun in the sky today - wasn't sure what to do? :)

Howdy all!

Overslept this morning in my hotel room - not sure how that happened, but the bed WAS comfy.  haha.  Had a ROCKIN workout at the hotel's fitness center (see post under today's exercise, i won't bore with repeating here).  And the conference so far is really good - some great ideas, large room filled with geeks like me, so it can't be all bad.

So far, I've managed food well, too, despite one near disaster this morning.  After my workout, my plan was to run by starbucks and pick up a cup of ice and some skim milk.  Found a container of Horizon reduced fat milk in the cooler (no skim) and headed up to my room to make my protein shake.  When i opened and poured the milk, it looked...hmmm.... thicker and whiter than I expected.   Looked more carefully at the container - it was Horizon reduced fat milk... VANILLA flavor.  With 29g of sugar!  Yikes.  Poured out all but about a tablespoon for flavor, filled the container with water and made my shake with that.  Couldn't believe it.  Who thought you could screw up that badly with reduced fat milk.  Sigh.

Anyway - today's been really good so far - nice steamed shrimp and scallops salad (with an extremely light vinaigrette dressing) for lunch... they've had fruit out for all breaks (they also had ice cream sundaes just now but i went for the fruit instead).  So I am feeling like i can manage this!

I hope this is a good day for all of you, too!

Happy Late Monday....

still trying to see what my little pouch can handle.
NOT cottage cheese.  ha ha!

Did ok with Tuna, a little dry toast
protein shakes x 2
and a lot of water
it's all I could get in today.

I just have to take it slow and be patient....
