****Monday Roll Call****

Hi Everyone,
I am up after midnight because the psycho puppy is acting like it's play time.  I can't wait to get the crate for him.

Monday has me at school, packing up my room and hanging with whatever kids show up.  Then, I will run home and take Utley for a walk.  After that, I will head to group for my weekly session.  Nothing exciting.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Wow...we have been nonstop since about 8pm.  We came in at 7p and it was manageable...about 6 people in the waiting room.  By 8pm we had 12-15 in the waiting room and it stayed that way until about 1am...in fact...we still have one or two there now.  This is the first time I have less than 4 patients to take care of, and also the first time that more than half of them aren't "sick sick".

On the way home I need to go to the grocery store.  Here I was so proud of myself for doing all of the chores this weekend...we did eat out a few times so I hadn't checked the fridge...went to pack my meals for this week....ooops...out of yogurt...out of string cheese...out of ricotta....out of lunch meat....what was I thinking??   So that MUST get done.

Today is our weekly "getting through Monday" party at work - this weeks theme is summer favorites, so I'm bringing in tomato and mozz salad for a healthy tasty option for me and the others.  I need to assemble that (after food shopping of course, cause you can bet I don't have THAT stuff on hand, either) when I get home.

Then it will be off to BED!!!!!!!  My favorite part of the day recently as I have been exhausted even though I've been sleeping.....due for my friend any day now which is probably playing a big roll in it.

Enjoy!

Pam

Hi all,

Another volunteer day.  I need to be less reactive and start being proactive in my life.  I am not a victim and I can take charge.

I have made contact with a young lady who has made a career out of helping women with their self image, www.onepinky.com.  Visit her site and download the free newsletter.  Very interesting.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good Morning Trish & PA,

So you got a puppy, seems I missed that post, what kind?  Sounds like you will be having some fun times ahead!

I am up for the last hour, made my bed, put all the dishes away, started my water intake and now I am going toput on the coffee, figure what to take for lunch this week and hop in the shower to get ready for work, after work I will be hitting the gym, that's my plan for the day!  Hope what your doing is more exciting (lol)!

Have a great day all!

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning Pa!

Trish--Crates are great once the dog is trained for it!!!  I know my Peanut loves his crate--he'll go in and lay down any old time...he even puts all his toys in there!!!  But it is worth it once they are trained to use the crate as a "second" home!!  Let me know how Utley does!! He seems so adorable!!!!

Laureen --So good to see you posting!! You seem like all is well--how is the new job going??? I know you were excited about the shorter commute!!!

Pam--Hope you are able to get some sleep and enjoy time with your friend!!!

As for me today has me lugging junk out of the younger step-daughter's room so we can paint while she is away this summer.  Boy oh boy that child is a pack rat!!!  Then I will do my hour on the treadmill, finish up the laundry, and read some of my book.  Tonight we head over to the local college so hubby can get parking permit for his class that starts Wednesday.  Then it is off to the store for a few items and then home for dinner!!

That is pretty much my non exciting day!!  Hope everyone enjoys the SUNSHINE!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Much luv!!!!

I have work on the agenda and I am going to the local golds gym to talk with them about their membership and spinning classes. I think they have one at 5 something so I will stay for that if I join.  It is time to do some major revamping of my excercise habits. LIKE GET ONE. The only way to stay moving with this tool is to have a plan and use it. That is what I intend to do.
got work today and that is about it
I Hope you all have a wonderful day

Monday.. UGH

I could NOT get out of bed this morning.  My back is really sore, has been since I left the chiropractor's office.  Of course, it feels worse than it did when I went in, but I figured that might happen until he gets a few treatments in.  I am staying away from "jumping" in spin class until it gets better.  I go back to him on Wednesday and I'll be sure he realizes that I am in more pain now than I was before.

Anyway, today has me working 7-3:30 as usual.  Today is Siehara's first full day with no school and nothing to do.  Hopefully, she won't drive me too crazy.  I want her to clean her room today, but I am pretty sure that will either not happen or be a huge fight that I don't want to have.

After work, Siehara has her 1st appt with the Psychologist at Kids Peace for therapy.  We are going to discuss respect for mom and anger management.  At least, that's what I want them to discuss.  When we are done there, I want to head to the gym.  I won't make it for spin..probably a good thing.. but I will go and get on the treadmill or recumbant bike and do some strength training.

Hope everyone has a good day!  The sun is out here, so that helps!

You'll be great tomorrow Abby.  You are in great hands at Westfield!!! Make sure you give your DD or DH my number so they can call or text me when you get out of surgery!!! Inquiring minds want to know!!

edited to include:

Oh and Abby, please make sure to follow Dr. S's rules, especially early out before you are on solids.  A lot of people here do protein shakes and stuff.  He doesn't believe in them. ( I do them, now, but don't tell him.. LOL)  For your first 10 days after surgery, you will be on CLEAR liquids.  That's the stuff you've been drinking yesterday and today.  I LIVED on SF popsicles and broth.  I was not hungry and had to force myself to drink enough.  I kept a cup of broth, tea, and crystal lite on the table next to me and just alternated what I sipped depending on my mood.  Keep sipping continually throughout the day.  Make sure you get up and walk and don't overdo it on the days that you feel great!

When you go for your 10 day follow up, he will add SOLIDS.. not full liquids, not soft foods. SOLIDS.  He is different than most surgeons in this, but you will be able to do it.  Just make sure you cut the food really small and chew chew chew.  Experiment and you will find things that you can tolerate.  I had eggs, tuna, and tried some chicken early out and was lucky.  The soft boiled egg didn't feel "right" so I just ate the whites part and was ok.  Follow his rules. They work for him and have worked for me so far.    You'll be great!

Good luck tomorrow! Don't be scared. It's easy. You show up, they put you to sleep, then you wake up and it's done!
