Has anyone found SF BBQ sauce or Sloppy Joe mix w/o High Fructose Corn Syrup. I only have Wegman's, Price Choppers, Walmarts and other "local" grocery stores near me.

Nope... You'll have to make your own

Here is 1 recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno, minced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 1 can small red beans or pinto beans, preferably low sodium drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 whole-wheat burger buns

Directions

Brown the meat and the onion in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, breaking up the meat into crumbles as it cooks. Pour the drippings out of the pan and discard. Add the garlic, jalapeno, and red pepper and cook 5 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes more. Place a half-cup scoop of the mixture onto each bun and serve.

The Kraft SF BBQ sauce says Low Calorie on the label, and I read the ingredients and there's no added sugar -- they use sucralose/splenda.  I found it at Shoprite and Giant.  I wish they would just label it as sugar free and make it less confusing!

Dont have either of those near me but I'll check that out. I never would have thought low cal meant SF!

A giant near me (not even my own has this) has Walden's Farm SF BBQ sauce... if you are going to be at Liz's cooking class I could bring you a bottle... I like it... they have orginal and spicy... I think they are 3.99 a bottle... but if your store carries any of the other Walden's Farm items I am sure they can get this...

As a kid when we had Sloppy Joes it was onion, ketchup and mustard... my mom never got the canned stuff... so use Heniz sugar free ketchup and you are set...
