This is me Last year...I am in all black...
This is me now!! What a difference a year makes!!!!
Finally!! Finally my time to relax and veg out and regroup and refocus is here a.k.a. Summer Vacation!!! This was a long year but a very, very good one! I learned alot about myself and who I am and who I want to be in the future. I learned that at the heart of my being that the WLS was the best decison and best gift I could have given myself--getting down to a manageable weight, feeling like a normal human being and loving life again is definitely something I am proud to have accomplished. This has been a whirlwind for me but in the end I figured out I am STRONGER than I give myself credit for most of the time. And my family are saints for putting up with me!!!! LOL But that was the biggest lesson learned even though I think I knew it all along--As ashamed and scared for my health as I was when it came time to tell my whole family the came around me and supported me and helped me and listened and encouraged and restored my confidence in myself every step of the way. It is true in my opinion that ITALIAN FAMILIES DO IT BETTER!!!! They loved me every step of the way and I would be lost without them--all of them brother, sister-in law, father, aunts, uncles, cousins, and "Designated Mothers"!!!! I have never seen a family rally to support a person like my family does and continues to do for me and for that I am eternally grateful .

I grew up alot this year--got my priorities straight, figured out where I want to be, and learned that although marriage is not always an easy committment--it is a wonderful thing to have a husband who loves you thoroughly and supports you --even through trying times our love was strenghted and God blessed us and helped us through and for that I am grateful for as well. So as I look to the future (and the last thirty pounds tolose!!! ) I want to continue on this journey and look forward to what life has to offer next...hopefully in the next year we will be blessed with a baby to love and raise in God's care but all that will hopefully come to pass when God is ready and knows that I am ready too!!

So here I am looking forward to learning more and relaxing some and loving on my family this summer because in the end LOVE is the greatest of all!!!
