OT-What would you do??
Okay so I have been at my current job for about 7 months but am finding that though my job is easy BUT its BORING
So my old boss decided to offer me a new position that has opened up at my old job but it would be thru a temp agency but my pay would be more than what I make here and it would be doing something very exciting and learning a different skill. BUT since it's thru Kelly services it would be no benefits, No 401K contribution etc. I don't need medical insurance since I am lucky to have a husband that has great benefits but I used to work for J&J and would like their benefits. My question is this would you leave a job that offers full benefit but you waive them and take another job that does not offer full benefits if the pay is more?? Oh BTW I would not have to take the PA turnpike and would save on PA Tolls. OR am I just crazy even thinking about giving this up?? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks again folks!!

The one question I would ask is what kind of security would you have working for a temp agency? Why work for one when you have a permanent job with nutra system? I worked for Kelly years ago 14 to be exact and they were not very nice to me. I personally would stay with a job that is permanent. The temps are the first to be laid off.
Oh Christine,
Even though the job is boring I told my husband that it's thru the temp agency and he said absolutely not. Hubby seems to think not only should I negotiate the higher salary but also ask to be made permanant after 90 days. Don't worry I am not going any where anytime soon. See you on the 29th!

It has been my personal experience that temp agencies do not stand behind their employees whenever there is a problem you are just a number and treated like livestock I am not kidding. Here is my question though how come you would be making more being a temp for Kelly than a permanant for Nutri? I would question HR about that one. Does not make sense.
