they will give you a gown that is plenty big and if I remember right, I also had a pair of pants.  I would bring slippers or croc like shoes for walking in the hall.

I brought magazines and a book to read, but never touched them.  I just wanted to rest in between walking the halls.  You should be home Wednesday as long as all goes as planned, so you won't need much.  Remember your cell phone and charger.  You CAN use that in the hospital and will want to call the world to announce your new birthday!! (At least I did)

Let me know your last name so I can come visit you if you want me.

Abby - I'm with Lisa, you don't need much. I would wear sweats or something with a stretchy waist and a loose top. Shoes you don't have to bend over to tie or put on.

I also brought my cell phone and charger, and my i-pod. I had an annoying roomie and was glad to be able to tune her out!

Best of luck next week!!

Is Lisa your angel? will she be able to let us know when you are out of surgery and recovering well??

good thing they are all PRIVATE rooms at Westfield!!!

You won't have to worry about annoying roomies!

I would like to be your angel Abby.  Have someone call me to let me know all is good! 610-504-3867

I was already planning on going to visit... just waiting for her last name so I can find her at the hospital.  There aren't that many rooms there, so I'm sure I can find her anyway.  Just want to be sure she is up for visitors before I go barging in like a bat out of hell!!!

loose fitting clothes and easy on shoes are a must.  i also brought lip gloss  to keep my lips from getting dry.    If you hav e along ride home, make sure there are  few pillows in the car to use to pad your stomach.

A few magazines or a good book might be enjoyable while in hospital.

I tried to do a crossword puzzle, but was too dizzy from the pain meds.

I had a wonderfull roomie .

OH, and something I did....bot underwears in a smaller size....was using them within 7 days of surgery. LOL -- nothing worse that underwear falling off your butt!

Best wishes....

I brought my cell phone and mags and iPod but wasn't up to using any of them. I brought a nightgown but never used it because I couldn't get it on with the IV. Ditto to loose fitting clothes, slip on shoes and maybe flip flops if you could shower.

I took my iPhone so I could update my online friends on my status.  I wore a tshirt and a pair of yoga pants with an elastic waist band.  I didn't take slippers as I just wore the booties that the hospital gave me.  I wore the gown that the hospital provided.  Just wish I would've brought my own shampoo/conditioner.  Luckily, the hospital had some Suave.  Pack light!
