****Thursday Roll Call***

Well sheesh...I must be tire - I actually had to THINK about what day it was today.  Can't it be Friday ??  :(

Anywho...there is a party after work tonight for "kegs and eggs" at a restaurant by work that does alcohol in the am...for a girl whose last night is tonight.  However...I'm tired and have been out of the house a lot lately so I gave her my gift tonight will say goodbye in the morning and head home.

I'm sure it's still raining out.  *sigh*

I want to get in touch w/ my brother....my mom has some tix for a concert the end of july (she scored FIELD level tix at the new mets stadium for Paul McCartney) and it all depends on if he is going if Brian AND I are going or what...and his girlfriend...and if he's NOT going than I need to let my mom know we are going and I need to get some extra $$ ready for that.  I'm pretty psyched about it :)

Oh..and I will try to call for a hair appointment...but I'm not sure I'm gonna be up that long until they open....so if I don't call today I will call tomorrow.

Have a GREAT day!

Hello!!

I'm at work right now, as is Pam apparently!  I work tonight as well then off one day, work Saturday, off Sunday, work M-Th, then Sat the 27th is my brother's wedding of which I get to play bridesmaid!

My dress, which was ordered back in December is WAY too big!  Actually, it was too big before I had wls.  They measured me for a 28...we decided to order a size 24.  Now, bridedmaid dresses usually run SMALL so I figured that just in case I didn't get surgery when I planned that they'd only have to take it out one size.

I went for my fitting on Friday...the seamstress has to basically reconstruct the dress...taking 4 inches off the back...2 inches off each side, pull the straps up by almost 4 inches!  Since I have to have all this alteration done, I gotta pay $75...on top of the $170 that I already paid for the gown.  So$245 total for me just on the gown.  Plus $35 for the shoes. $$ for hair and makeup, nails and pedi.  AND a wedding gift!

I should also mention that this isn't my brother's first wedding.

Have a great day everyone!

I know total it'a s lot of money - but I'm impressed the alterations are only $75 - that's CHEAP for all that work!

I was thinking the same thing as Pam.. you got off way cheap for all of those alterations.  I was maid of honor in a wedding a few years ago.  The dress itself cost more than you are paying for the dress, plus alterations.  I think I ended up spending around $500 once all was said and done.  And, back then, they were taking my dress OUT.  I'm hoping I can find the dress in my yard sale stuff because I want to put it on and see how BIG it is now!

Have fun at the wedding!

Good morning, all!

Just thought I'd check in before I take my shower and head off to Barix.  (I'd actually rather be heading back to bed---I slept great last night, but I'm still tired.  And we all know I'll only get to sleep 2 hours at a time at Barix!  lol)

This morning has me thinking whether I could lose this weight on my own and keep it off instead of altering my body.  But I've never been able to do that, which is why I'm here now.  And I look at all the amazing photos and stories on here and realize that I can do this.  I want to be heathly and enjoy my life!!!

Have a great day, everyone!!!!  And slide on down that bench---here I come!!!!

Morning all!  I don't get on OH as much as I would like, so I have no idea what's going on with people...hope everyone is well!!  I am running up to E. Stroudsburg in a minute to see Dr. Herman for a post PS follow up...then, its in to wor****il 7 tonight.  Last night I went to dinner and a movie with a guy I have seen a couple times.  The movie, Pelham 123, was pretty good!  Ok...gotta run!!  Hey...has anyone kept up with the exercise post?
