Saggy skin.....
I was wondering when we lose weight...has anyone every had annoying saggy skin that you just do not like? I was wondering if anyone who has lost weight do you tuck your shirts in now that you lost weight or you finding that you are still hiding a bulge due to saggy skin? I was just wondering I have not had my surgery yet but was just curious what others have to say about this. I mean I do not hide my arms or legs now but I do wear shirts long so my belly does not hang out..however..when I lose weight i want to be able to wear close where i can show off my belly...or at least not have to wear a long shirt and worry about pulling it down to cover it..
Hi there - I have been wearing spanx like undergarments for about two years - so being that I am still under three months post-op - I am still wearing them! I just bought some new ones at Kohl's, they are not cheap - but I am not spending a lot on clothes as I am shopping at Ross and Marshalls. I also plan on going to a thrift store when I get down to an 18, (It seems to be getting closer to that moment every day!) :) I feel "put together" when I wear it! It really helps with my self-confidence as I continue to lose the weight. I wish I had it for my arms - I hate what they look like! I know that it is all part of this journey - but still....ewwww.....'
I am down just over 50 pounds and I can feel the extra skin on my butt as well as my thighs and arms, I have always had the belly sagging over - so that is not new - just a bit flabbier - I also went to Ross and Marshalls and bought new bras for about $10 a peice - however long they last me - I feel better about "my girls."
I hope this helps. I am excited for you and will be at barix on Wednesday - if I get there early enough - I will try to get in - however, as Shilpa said in another post - and as I remember - you may not want to have company - especially to be meeting new people - however, if you are feeling up to it - maybe you could have one of the nurses walk you into the lobby.
I wish you luck and strength! The first few weeks are tough - but it is worth every minute of it - een with my LOVELY mood swings! :)

Depending on how long you've carried the weight and how much you want to lose plays a part in what you will need to do later. Just keep your eye on the prize. I just spent 3 hours shopping for clothes in size Petite Small. I never had so many options before considering I started out in a 5X. Does the skin hang? Yep, do I care? Only if I have to get naked for someone, but that situation hasn't come up. I wear 3/4 length sleeves and long pants. The only thing that really bothers me is the skin hanging on my back, sometimes it feels like its moving around. One day in the future I will probably get the excess removed, but for right now, its okay.
Yep...I have skin hanging. Can I wear different clothes, though? Absolutely! My pelvic area hangs a little bit...the inside of my upper thighs look like a sharpee dog....and let's not even talk about the boobs.
In "general" clothes (like jeans, t shirts, etc) it's not that noticeable...but when I get dressed up I definately wear my spanx (which I wore pre surgery too, but they do a MUCH better job now) to hold it all together.
I have skin on my arms, too, but it's not as bad.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

The 2 worse areas for me is the girly bits and inside thighs... but I don't wear mini skirts... and the only people that see that area is my OBGYN and Jeremy... so I don't care... but my upper arms are HORRIBLE... I have even have sales people kind of shocked... I have about 5 to 6 inches of skin hanging there and I have 80 more pounds to loose after I have the baby... so I try to make sure I have normal short sleeve shirts on... which is why I HATE capped sleave shirts... argh...
Just don't expect to wear a biniki without a little plastic work later hehehe...
I am only 3 1/2 months out, but am already experiencing some. I had batwings before the surgery and I have them now. They are worse than they were since most of the fat in my arms is now gone. I am working with my trainer to tone up my triceps as much as I can so if I ever decide to do anything about it, I will have some really nice arms underneath. I'm pretty sure that I will also have saggy belly and thighs. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it (and when I win the lottery!! )
Small price to pay for weighing less and keeping my health! I'll be investing in Spanx soon!

Thanks for all the replies..I will lookin into the Spandx? Spell check LOL..anyways..what is that? and where can you buy something like that? I was thinking of buying shapewear or something anyways..I mean I do not wear stuff like that now..at all I just wear my dresses and whatever I want and I do not care what others think of what I look like... NO offense to anyone else..but I love my body even now..I do not care.. I wear tank tops..and I have huge bat wings!!! NOW. I know its only going to get worse..but oh well...I hate SHORT SLEEVES OR QUARTER SLEEVES I cannot have sleeves on my arms I hate the feeling...I always wear tank tops or sleeveless shirts..always even in the winter time..I do like long sleeve shirts...but they have to be long or none at all. I have tons of dresses I like to wear and most of them are halter top...so showing off my legs or arms now is not an issue at all. I jus****ned to know what others thought of their saggy skin and how bad it is. I am just curious.
