***Friday Roll Call***
I think we are all a little punch drunk this morning - Not only did I put product in my hair hoping that it would stay curly - but I even put make-up on to sit in a non-air conditioned classroom til 3:!5. Who here is the dummy?!?!? LOL!
After school today I am headed to the synagogue tonight for the installation of new officers, dinner and services - Yes - Lisa and I are seperate people! Tomorrow, however, I am NOT going to the synagogue - have to start getting ready to pack the kids for camp and me for ISRAEL!!!!!!! Can't wait!
This year has been dragging too long! I have always said that June to a teacher is like being 9 months pregnant - "It just needs to end!" :)
Hope you can all find some cool air today! Have a great day and a wonderful weekend! :)

Both of your posts that I read today are a riot - I am sure you do not think so - but I am entertained becuase my husband has been a miserable fool lately - not about the food - but about so much more! Why are they so stupid sometimes? I feel your pain! And - CAN WE TALK ABOUT IN-LAWS????? Mine are lunatics! (My husband will even agree with that!) They live at the Jersey Shore and I prefer to never go there for fear of running into them! I could tell you stories! :) Are you too nice to tell your MIL where to stick her comments about your weight? I have told mine what to do with her comments - She now leaves me alone, well, usually! :)
Have a safe drive and take A LOT of deep breaths!!!!!!

Sorry I am late checking in. I overslept this morning and am soooooooooooo jealous of any teachers who are on vacation. Mine does not start for two more weeks.
Today has me at work, babysitting, or teaching, as my job description states. Then, to the grocery store for food. Then to a meeting. Then home to watch the Phillies while I work feverishly to finish a baby blanket for a shower I am attending on Sunday.
My weekend will be busy...I hope to get a pool pass for the pool in my complex, and get some swimming done.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Trish, now you don't have to be the latest one checking in... that would be ME today! This is the first "breath" i've had to get on the computer.
So all my great intentions got tossed out the window yesterday and today... Realized that our garage freezer was in the process of dying, which meant that all of our valuable food was in the process of defrosting. This was late morning yesterday, I was stuck and work, and I had promised a close friend that I'd pick her hubby up from his chemo appointment in the afternoon.
Of course, I made the mistake of calling my mom (who lives with me) to ask her to see if any of our neighbors might have room in their freezers temporarily and if she would call local food bank / senior center / whatever, to see if anyone would take a donation of the stuff that was already too thawed to safely re-freeze. She completely panicked and couldn't deal with it, kept calling me back at work every few minutes to ask for "directions" about what to do next, etc. Finally got her calmed down, found a neighbor with room for some stuff and averted the crisis. Called Lowes and Home Depot and a bunch of other places - found out that if I ordered a replacement before 7 PM, they could deliver it today! (woo hoo!)
So after picking Chip up from Fox Chase and driving him home, then getting back home myself, I carted the girls off to help me pick out a replacement. The guy at the store said "the delivery service picks them up from us about 8:30 in the morning, so they'll call you and let you know when your delivery is scheduled."
At 7-freaking-AM this morning, my cell rings and it's the delivery guy telling me the truck had ALREADY LEFT LOWES and woudl be to my house within about 15 mins. I roused Katie (not easy for a 19-year-old), and we booked down to frantically empty everything (put the new one in the kitchen, moved the kitchen one out to the garage, so EVERYTHING had to be emptied), the guys arrived before we were even half done, and were very nice about helping. Got everything in, took a breath and looked at the clock - it was 8:30. So i'm figuring that my morning workout was about an hour and a half this morning :-).
Still recovering and trying to get re-organized!
Whew
Looking forward to seeing a bunch of you at Liz's tomorrow!
