When do they call you for your surgery time?

I was curious to know when they call you to let you know what time your surgery is at. I have mine Wednesday June 17th and well I do not even know what time I have to be there yet. I would like to find out before Tuesday because I might leave a day early and stay overnight close by the place. However they have my house number and not my cell number so I do not want to leave Tuesday morning and them not call me until Tuesday..for my time...

They normally call the day before...so for you, Tuesday....probably sometime after 3pm.

Why don't you call them and give them your cell phone number?

I didn't go to Barix, but the day before is standard procedure for most hospitals. I had to leave the day before too so I gave them my cell phone number. Maybe you should call and explain that to them

You will get a call the day before. Some places call 8-4 or 5. (Where I had my surgery) Alot of places call 3-8 pm.

My advice is to give them your cell so they can get ahold of you no matter what. And have a note pad ready in case there are any specific instructions you may forget. It's easy to get all excited over the time and forget little details...........

I was pleasantly surprised, actually... i was expecting them to call me on Tues for a Wed surgery - they called Monday mid-morning.  May have been a fluke, but seems to me if you haven't heard from them by say noon on Monday, give them a call and let them know you're trying to finalize your travel plans.  And by all means, give them your cell number in case there's anything last-minute that changes or that they need to ask.
