Thursday Excercise

I walked for an hour and a half this morning as I was fitted with the Holter monitor from the day before and could not get too sweaty as that would have gotten the equipment wet. I walked almost 5 miles but did not break a sweat. How weird is that?? I will see how I feel tonight to see if I can get at least 20 minutes on my Elliptical as I feel like I didn't work out since I didn't break a sweat

You walked almost 5 miles but don't feel like you got a work-out?? Are you allowed to do a more strenuous work-out with that equipment? Well, just take it easy - its really humid out there.

I am taking the day OFF from exercise. I'm going out tonight to celebrate my birthday with some friends so my bike and Curves will be lonely tonight. You go sweat for me, Shilpa!!

I was told to resume my normal activites while on the monitor. I just couldn't get the equipment wet so I had no choice but to put one foot in front on another. I am dead serious when I left my house at 6am it was kind of cool outside and when I came back at 7:30 I really did not break a sweat and the neighboorhood has a lot of hills and valleys and when I was heavier it was hard for me to walk around one lap let alone walk 5 miles! I just wanted to wish you an early Happy Birthday. Enjoy the celebration out tonight and those fries. YUMMY.

I went over to the gym on my lunch and did 10.75 miles on the recumbant bike--30 mins. I also did ab crunches and calf raises.

You were definitely pedaling your butt off on that bike to go that far in 30 minutes - you're my hero!! I can get 7 miles in 30 minutes but I've been increasing the tension to help me ride my outside bike. I have some catching up to do.

Ab crunches? Who has abs??!! Oh right - not me!! LOL!

I don't have them yet, but I sure as hell feel them when I do the crunches.  Especially today after having Rocco work my abs on Tuesday.  I felt the pain today!!

Doing 30 Minutes of cardio - walk 1 mile at 4.0 (15 Minute mile)
                                                    walk 1 mile at a 7.0 incline at 3.0

Doing 15 minutes of weight training on the machines....

I went to karate last night and tonight I will head out to the gym for cardio and arm work.  Today I wore my sketcher (or is it skecher) shape ups to work so I am getting a bit of leg work in while I run around the office.

checked out golds gym today it is in a good location and they spin classes
I have a week free so gonna try it out

I am liking my Gold's.. check out those spin classes.  They probably have a beginner class.. check it out. It's worth it!  Warning--your butt/crotch area WILL hurt until after the 3rd or 4th class. Don't let that stop you.  It really is a fabulous workout!!!
