Anyone experience the Super Walmart Supermarkets?

Really? See, that's what I get for not driving up to Oaks to check it out, but then again this is so stinking convenient down here and since I always run out on my lunch hour you can't beat the convenience part of it, plus none of the traffic on 422 or Trooper Road.

You can get to Oaks by going up Ridge Avenue to Egypt Road.  Apparently we work very close to each other.  Dolores V. also works up here.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

I have good news and bad.  I went for myself to the KOP store to check out the prices.

Good news, the prices are identical to Oaks.

Bad news, the prices are not the same at the register.  You have to pay attention to everything they scan, it comes up much more at the register than the shelf price.  Another thing about this store, the people are rude, and the store is filthy.  I think I'll stick with Oaks.

Ok...so don't be shocked when you read this.

The whole "walmart thing" is new to me.  I did not have a walmart that was less than 35 mins away from me where I lived in jersey...so it wasn't somewhere I went.

However...there is one about 5 mins from my house in Easton.  I have been a few times for various things, it is a super walmart and has the food store side to it and what not.

Funny you should mention how much cheaper things are...because just the other day I said to Brian I want to make a list of "common buys" in our house and compare prices at walmart, giant, and wegmans.

I would still get deli meats from giant because I only eat Boars Head (yes...I'm a snob when it comes to my deli meats) and the super walmart by me carries a different brand.  And I guess from reading these posts...perhaps I will continue buying my regular meats at the other stores too.

Thanks for posting this, makes me want to do my compairson shopping even more!

I used to go the the Super Wal-Mart in Bechtelsville when I lived out that way and the prices were definitely much better than the grocery store.

I'm not too thrilled with the regular Wal-Mart in Pottstown.  I'll stop in from time to time to pick up household items if I'm up that way.

I'm waiting for a Wal-Mart to open right in Limerick.  Everything else is coming in - why not
Wal-Mart too.

I found a lot of things there that I could have after surgery that my normal grocery store never has... but what I love from there is the roastisiorte chicken (however that stupid word is spelled)... I use it to make my own chicken salad with it, toss in to soup mixes I have going, use for tacos or just serve with some veggies and mashed tators... Lorelei LOVES it...

I also like they carry more sugar free and reduce fat items than my local grocery stores... so if I am wanting a special treat ice cream wise I look there...
