I just stumbled into the Walmart in Oaks.  Apparently they are going full supermarket service.  Fresh Produce and Meats, etc.  I found a lot a good prices.  Not everything is a bargain, but most things are.

Yes they are great and some of their pricing is good but you do have to compare pricing for produce and fresh meats. Infact they closed all the regular walmarts near my work and near our house to open the super wal-marts. I love going there for the simplicity of combining grocery food shopping with retail therapy. lol.

Nan--I just noticed you are in Royersford--that is not too far from me as we just moved up to Pottstown this winter!!

I LOVE the SuperWal-mart-- but I do agree that you have to shop smart...not everything is cheaper than a regular market but some things are great!!! I do my regular food shopping at Redners...prices can't be beat and if you need something and they don't have it they will order it for you.  So between them andthe Super Wal-Mart there are deals to be had!

I get everything except my meats from there.  Not that their meats aren't fresh, but I just have to get mine from a store with a butcher.  Just my thing.  The prices are great though!

The Supermarket has a meat room with a lot of people wearing white coats.  I aasume they are butchers right down to the deli and bakery.  I've never seen this before at a Walmart.

I have been going to "SuperWalmart" for about 10 years. I buy everything there too except my meat. I have found if you don't cook the meat THAT day, it turns quickly. And well, for my family, I buy for the whole week.

But for the most part, the prices are good and they have thier own brand for alot of items that are even cheaper. My kids just discovered they REALLY like the walmart brand of cereals.........Yay for me because cereal is wicked expensive!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I LOVE my superwalmart - but I am with the other ladies - everything but meat. To me their meat tastes "off" not bad - just "off" I don't know if it is a lesser quality or what so I stick to Giant and Wegmans for meats. They have great deals on the staple type stuff though. AND they are the only place I can get the sugar free chcolate chips.

I'm with Shilpa - how could you hate a store where you can buy everything! lol

Haven't been to the new improved on in Oaks since they opened one right here in King of Prussia where the old Home Depot used to be - LOVE that store!! Its so convenient and has a grocery side to it as well. Have to agree with most comments - don't usually get their meat but its great for some produce items and most other items in the store are much less than my local grocery stores. As a matter of fact I'm heading over there at lunch today to pick up a few things.

One of my co-workers said that the KOP one is more expensive than the Oaks one.
