Monday Excercise
Okay so I was on my Elliptical for an hour this morning! WHEW!! Can I just say I almost passed out from such an INTENSE workout plus the heat is not helping!! LOL. I have generally not been feeling too well and literally been having dizzy spells so off to the doctor's I go tonight. My hemoglobin has been low let's see is that is the culprit but I did manage to burn almos 1200 calories. So what is everybody else doing to move today??
Hey Shilpa - its wonderful that you can do the eliptical that long but maybe your body is telling you something? Maybe you're pushing it just a bit too hard right now? Especially in the heat? Please watch yourself - we support you in wanting you to reach your goals but we also want you healthy and around!!
I'm not sure what I'm doing tonight - waiting to hear from hubby who has new car fever. He may want to stop at the dealership on the way home to see what kind of deal he can really get - if not then I'll be going to Curves. If I don't go to Curves I'll ride my bike - if its not raining I'll ride the real one outside - if its raining I'll ride the recumbant inside.

Shilpa,
Make sure the doc knows just how intense that exercise is! It could be a clue as to what's going on in your body (it could be telling you to slow down and/or vary the type of exercise).
Anyway, today I did a pretty intense (for me) lower-body set with EA Active. Later on, I'm going to try to do my walk-run again.
I was really happy that on Saturday evening (after a good workout Sat morning, too) I managed to do the 1.5 mile circuit at a really good pace, even JOGGING about a third of it. And I could still talk/function afterward. I couldn't have even dreamed of that pre-surg! At that point, I could get around the mile version of the circuit at a relatively slow pace without stopping and was wiped for quite a while afterward.
I feel good enough about my progress that I'm actually thinking of buying a sports bra! HAHA! Seriously, though... I'm actually considering trying to train for a 5K maybe in late Sept or October. That may be too ambitious (hard to say), but if not for then, I'll definitely try for one in spring. Those are words that I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would have thought to hear from myself.

Hoping to have enough energy at the end of my 12hr. day to do my 4 laps around the neighborhood. Had to suspend laps last week with Mom in the hosp. but I really need it for my stress levels so here's hoping the weather doesn't turn bad today
