BBQ Sauce, Ketchup and Honey

So, taking the advice of all on here, I've been trying to read labels like I'll have to after surgery.

What do you all do about ketchup? I can't seem to find any that fit into what's allowed. Which brings me to my next question...Isn't the ketchup in BBQ Sauce? If so, then wouldn't making my own and it being okay be out of the question?

And if honey has 8g of sugar, does that mean I can or can't have it? The only ingredient is honey!
Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

everyone is different... trial an error.. or so i have learned.. i can handle a lil ketchup and i have had tea with a lil honey.. havent tried bbq sauce yet.. but i will eventually i was raised southern an i have gave up fried foods forever... so im gona keep my grilled meats... an pray i can have bbq sauce now an then as a treat.. your body will let u know post-op what it likes an doesnt real quick.. an just beacuse it doesnt like something one week doesnt mean u cant have it ever... just have to try it again and again till it likes it if ur glutton for punishment like i am.. Good luck.. u will figure it all out... we have a lifetime to fret about the small stuff...

There used to be a "carb smart" ketchup that was made w/o sugar...I haven't seen it in quite some time.

There are sf bar b que sauces out there...Shannon I think knows the brand names...I don't really like many bar b que sauces so I don't pay much attention to it.

And I believe the website netrition.com has a sugar free honey.

Now...my honest answer for the day...I don't buy the sf condiments.  Most of the time the serving size is a few teaspoons minimum and I don't use that much so I don't have a problem with it.
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I don't have a problem with ketchup but then I don't eat a whole serving. those SF ketchups are nasty I would rather have a smaller amount of the good thing.
KC masterpiece makes a low cal barb q sauce that only has 2 gms of sugar. I don't do honey at all so I can't help you there
