Okay my cousin is getting married in February and there is a huge engagement that is planned over 4th of July holiday. Anyway I have always been overweight all of my life and was over 230lbs when I got married. YIKES!! My husband and I got talking and I was so upset that I never looked good on my wedding day. Anyway my dear hubby suggested that we get married again!! I always wanted a big wedding and my wedding was nice but this time around I want to get married by Elvis in Vegas. My husband thinks that is crazy and we are too old for that. What do you guys think?? I would still dress in a wedding dress but my cousin said that we could probably get married for about $200?? Of course it would be a fun way to renew our vows and my parents offered to watch our kids for the whole week!! Am I out of my mind for wanting to do it this way. I am not christian but just love Elvis!!!

I want to get married again too....only I want to do it at a place like Sandals on the beach in a very non formal, flowy, white "tropical" dress.

I don't think you're crazy...I think you are living life and having fun! Tell hubby age is a state of mind, not a number and two "crazy kids" can do whatever they want when they want!

I think that sounds like a wonderful fun time! You're only too old for it if you FEEL too old for it. you can make it a positive and fun (not taking yourselves too seriously) way to reinforce your "new you" and all the fun parts of your lives together.

Thats an awesome idea!! My wife and I got married out there 14 years ago, and it was the best. Its alot of fun to marry or renew your vows on the Vegas strip.

I'm with Pam - I want new wedding pics on a beach (since we both went to the same place on our honeymood it would only seem appropriate that we would both want to get re-married there! lol)
