I'm Home!

I had my bi-lateral breast reduction done yesterday at Doylestown and spent the night and I'm home now. Little to no pain, just a little incisional burning. Tomorrow the visiting nurse comes to to the big reveal and some wound care.

Mr surgeon removed 1.5 lbs combined and said that the majority of what he removed was skin and not fat, since I had more mammary tissue than fat "for a person who has had such a signifigant weight loss" which makes a lot of sense why my boobs never deflated when ever i lost weight.

I was attempting to have my tummy done at the same time and now I'm glad I didnt. I'm pretty whiped out from the 2.5hr surgery and my tummy would have had me down for another 3 hours.

So thats it for now, i'm glad I'm on the other side and thanks to all my OH/FB friends who sent their well wishes.

Welcome home. You are at the exact place I simply can not wait for.  To get my boobs reduced is nothing less than a dream of mine.  I am sooo excited for you.  How big were you before and any idea what they are now?  I'm coming from a size H.  I imagine I'll go down to a double D if I'm lucky but not much below that.  Hell, by the age of 12 I was a double D.  No fair!

Remi,

I was a size 44DD pre-RNY and went down to a 36DD after losing 91 lbs. My problem more than anything was the excess skin since a 44DD is not really the same as a 36DD (who knew)

The visiting nurse will be here in 45 minutes to do the big reveal and change my dressings. I took a little peak this morning and they really look kind of small I hope I dont freak out when I see them.

My surgeon and I did discuss pre-op that I might want ot consider an implant down the road. I know he took 1.5lbs of fat/tissue off of my and he said he thought I'd land somewhere around a full C or a small D.

we shall see.
