Oh Pam, I LOVED my morphine pump.  I seriously asked if I could take it home with me.  3 pumps = feeling good BUT 4 pumps = complete sleep.  LOVED it!!!!!!  A very sad day in my life was when the removed my pump.  I still tear up over the sudden break up between me and that damn pump.  (LOL) Only later was I told the more narcotics used the worse the constipation and therefore the worse the pain.  My pain in the hospital was horrible(when not under the wonderful high of morphine that is).  So please be careful....(not that I wouldn't take advantage of the morphine pump if I ever had another opportunity to do so. I'd do the exact same thing. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
