Gallbladder
Hi PA,
I had a pretty rough day today with the gallbladder and was able to see the surgeon. I'm scheduled to have surgery Friday morning at Phoenixville hospital. It will be done as an outpatient and I should be home Friday afternoon if all goes well.
Liz, our GB expert, has given me great support and information. Thanks Liz!
I'll be glad to have it out but I admit I have some anxiety about the anesthesia. I'm sure I'll be just fine :o)

The thing I so vividly remember about my gallbladder surgery was thinking -- while i was still coming out of anesthesia -- that I WASN'T HURTING ANYMORE!!! The relief was instantaneous!
In those days, they kept you overnight in the hospital, though.
Don't know if this is still the cases, but the GB was definitely tougher on my abdominal muscles than lap RNY in terms of recovery. Range of motion was more restricted due to the muscle pain and things like standing up, sitting down, and getting out of bed were challenging for a few days.
Good luck, and you'll do just fine!
