Would you please post something to the effect that Barix Patients are not a clicky group of snobs or whatever, LOL.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BARIX WLS PATIENT AND ANOTHER WLS PATIENT IS THAT WE HAVE MORE PEOPLE AMONG US WITH A COMMON BOND THAT WERE GIVEN RULES AND SUPPORT FROM DAY ONE.  THE JOURNEY CAN NOT BE ENJOYED WITHOUT SHOWING OTHERS THE SIGHTS.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

No joke...REALLY!...I hesitated to join this support group because I felt "out of place."  It seems that sooo many people on the PA board (at least this side of PA) are Barix patients, all of whom seem to know each other.  Thus my hesitancy.

I posted that I was interested in attending and was encouraged by enough replies that I finally went. And Nan is right.  The ladies (are there any guys in the group?) are so NOT a clicky group of snobs, but a warm, friendly, welcoming group of people.  I appreciated the insights of their Barix experience compared to my experience at HUP.  And, BTW, I was not the only non-Barix person there!  :)

So if there are any other local WLS folks out there, please come join us.  You will NOT feel unwelcome, have nothing to lose (except our weight) and so much to gain (friendship, understanding and support).  Come on out!

And Nan...thanks for the recipe.  The "pizza" was really yummy.

Stay well, everyone.
