question and complaint
I went to the Strawberry Festival today at the Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville and found, what I thought at the time, to be a great yummy find. It is called Orange Cream Smoothie mix, and they claim that it is fat free, no sugar added and sugar free/ sweetened with Splenda. SOOOOOO I tasted the sample and fell in love. Only 20 cals and 3 carbs per serving and it was only 8 bucks.
I get the thing home and read the back of the package and it say that ingredent #3 is Corn Syrup Solids. WTF that is sugar. Now I am scared to drink the stuff. It says on the back that it had 3 grams of sugar per serving, which may be fine, but WTF??
Ok I feel better now, but still am not drinking this stuff.

That's soooo frustrating!!!!! I just had that happen with coffee creamer. Bottle said sugar free and I was VERYYYY excited. Had some in my coffee and got nauseous. Read the ingredients. SPlenda is way down low and the second ingredient is corn syrup. Taught me a lesson. I can't EVER let up on reading labels (not that I had but I got a little lax). SIgh. What a journey!!!
