Monday exercise

Ok, I didn't see this posted already, but if it was, just ignore me :)

What did you do exciting this weekend to get your body moving and grooving??

I did 10K on the eliptical yesterday...my legs were rubber afterwards.  That was the most exercise I have done since my plastics and my legs were majory objecting LOL

Tonight I will go to karate and then to the gym.

I also bought a pair of those ugly Skecher Shape Up shoes.  I wore them to work today and I can feel the work out in my legs...especially in my calves.  We will see if they were worth the money.

Now, what have you been doing?

Oh no...keep posting them...I just didn't see it (and you posted it as Friday not Monday LOL....so I didn't even stop to look at the time stamp on the post).  I don't have the time in the mornings anymore, so anyone who wants to get it started is more than welcome to do so.

Glad you found your shoes!

I WENT ROLLERBLADING.  And here I am, typing without any broken bones!  I didn't even fall once.  (Disclaimer:  there were TWO times I would have.  Once leaving the house and once coming back up the drive way.  But hubby came with me because he was "mildly concerned for my safety" and those two times he came in handy)

Now...it wasn't a "get your heart rate up to 120 and stay there type of work out"  I would have had to go way to fast for way to long for my comfort level and for being the first time out. 

HOWEVER my goal was to be out for 20 minutes and we were out for 40!  I skated the whole time...Brian would be walking I would skate ahead, then skate back to where he was in his walk and continue this pattern.

I'll need a lot more practice to get a "good" work out in...but hell...that's better than just sitting on the couch, right?

Pam, glad to see you didn't injure yourself rollerblading.

That's going to be me when I finally get up on the bicycle that I bought a few weeks ago.  I am just waiting for my friend to tune it up for me so it's safe.  Then, I'm getting on!

No too much exercise for me today...just walking, tomorrow back to the gym and the eliptical, weights, and bike.

We had a BBQ yesterday and I played volleyball for over an hour. In my past life, I would not have even attempted to play but it was so much fun. 
Usually at BBQs I would just sit back and hope noone noticed how much I was eating...yesterday was a wow moment just to mingle more than usual and get in on the fun!!

I haven't played volleyball since probably HS...sounds like soooo much fun!

today, I will go to the gym for spin class.  I will probably also try to get some strength training in since I haven't done ANYTHING since Wednesday except walking yesterday.  UGH! I can feel that I haven't been exercising and need to get my ass back in the gym.
