****Sunday Roll Call****

Good Morning Everyone,
Today is hopefully going to be beautiful weather wise.  I am having a picnic for my beautiful granddaughter, Isabel.  She turns 2 years old in two weeks, but will be back home in Michigan then, so since she is in town today, we are having a family get-together at Tyler State Park in honor of her, and her Mommy and Daddy being in town.  They drove from Maine to Newtown last night, and with my daughter being 8 months old, I know they are tired.

So, I will be up at Tyler, at the Boardwalk picnic area setting up this morning, and then enjoying my granddaughter this afternoon.  Lots of food, mostly healthy, some not so healthy.  I made four dozen cupcakes and decorated them last night.  Ugh.  Would have been fine, till the decorating tube broke in my hands as I was squeezing it.  Well, I got the cupcakes done, chopped veggies and fruit, and packed it all up for today.

Oh, and the Phils won and the Mets lost yesterday.  First Place---Whoo Hoo.  (sorry Laureen and Pam.)

Have a great day.

Hugs
Trish

It's ok.  I'm a Mets fan - VERY used to disappointment!  LOL

I woke up with a headache this morning...and trying to make sure it doesn't go any further then where it is already.  From someone who doesn't get headaches often...this is the second one in 3 weeks and becoming very annoying already!

Anyway....I *believe* the in laws are coming over today.  Of course, haven't heard either way so it's still a little up in the air.  I want to make a chicken cordon bleu type dinner...have to figure out a side dish...maybe mashed roasted garlic potatoes?  I haven't figured that part out.  Either way, I need to go to the grocery store for a few items.

I also want to try to take my rollerblades out today and see how I do, as this is the first time since I've gotten them that I am off, have some time, and the weather is cooperating!

Have a GREAT day at the picnic, I hope we get to see pics!  I can't believe the munchkin is gonna be 2 already!  sheesh!  Time flies!  I'm sure your princess will LOVE her day!

Up so early on your day off? crazy like me I suppose! lol

WE are having one of Chris' friends, his girlfriend and his son over for lunch today - how did I get suckered into this!? lol I haven't met this people before and don't feel like doing it today, but I will put on my happy face! I am only making hot dog, hamburgers, potato salad and corn on the cob.

I was WORN OUT yesterday, took a 2 hour nap then the "morning" (all day) sickness kicked in. Don't get me wrong I am THRILLED to be pregnant, just every aspect of it isn't so happy -go-lucky.

Anyway enough whining, I am getting ready to go start cleaning then prepping the food, and off to rest in the sun until they get here!

Trish - enjoy your day with the family - can't believe she is 2 already! And your daughter is 8 months along - WOW!! We'll be seeing pics of the new grandson before you know it!

Before today I would have TOTALLY agreed to that!! Chris' friends are usually crack pots but this guy and his girfriend were actually really nice and NORMAL! AND they have "big people" jobs! lol
Hope that your day went smoothly!

Liz

PS the only thing that they didn't get was I was falling asleep sitting talking to them - to most people that would be the signal to leave! They stayed 2 more hours so I am so tired now!

morning! I just got in about 4 hours ago, so I am a bit tired.  BUT, I had a great time yesterday!!!!

I was hoping to get over to the gym this morning, but I just don't see how I could possibly survive it on 4 hours of sleep.    I also need to drive down to Plymouth Meeting to meet my sister and get Siehara.  She has her 5K today, so we will come home and have a good lunch and then go over there.  Hopefully by then, I'll have a second wind and will do some walk/jogging around Lehigh Parkway while she is out on the course.  I would love to be able to do it with her, but I don't want to hold her back, plus I want to take pics.

After the run, dinner and then NOTHING!!! Maybe we'll go up to the pool and just relax.  I could probably fall asleep in the chair.  I'll just be sure to use stronger sunscreen this time!! PROMISE!

Howdy Everyone!

It's a truly gorgeous day out there - the type of day that I just soak in and feel glad to be alive and healthy.

Got up and exercised this morning - I'm finding that even though I have hated exercise all my life, I'm actually enjoying this routine and how it makes my body feel.  Go figure!  It's not a "chore" - just something that I'm actually looking forward to each morning.  Never thought I'd get there.

Got on the scale this morning and got another nice surprise - a few more pounds off, and am under 230lbs for the first time in 20 + years!  Hallelujah!

My plan for the day is to get some flowers planted out front and to try and find a couple of those "upside down" planters and do some tomatoes and cucumbers that way.  Might keep the rabbits and squirrels out of them a little more than usual.

Then I'm going to get to work in my studio and get back on track there... it's a quiet day around here.  Katie's still asleep (was at the Darkstar/Tea Leaf Green concert at Elec. Factory in Philly until 2:30) and Becky's up and out (gone to Six Flags for the day) and Eddie's working until 3.  That gives me some really nice "alone time" to get my stuff going at my own pace.  Aaaaahhh.

I hope to hear from the docs tomorrow about the results of my MRI and ultrasound this past week, and to figure out what the plan is ... surgery or what?  Until I know that, I'm up in the air with Dr. P about whether and when to finish the RNY.  Sigh.  And of course I want to know I have a clean bill of health anyway, even though the docs have been very reassuring so far.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Karen

P.S. - almost forgot to mention... I'm now on "soft foods" and went to Wegman's last night for dinner (we were out shopping way too late and had to grocery shop).  Had a really lovely pan-seared cod in tomato/balsamic sauce (I checked with the chef - no sugar in it) with a tiny bit of mashed potatoes.  YUM!!!  And I managed it well, brought 2/3 of the filet home with me and only ate about a tablespoon of the potatoes, but felt very satisfied.  It reassured me that i CAN do this on "real food"!

Morning all!

I slept later than usual today (find I'm sleeping later now that I have my cpap), which was nice.  I took a walk this morning and have some errands to run later.  Other than that, I think it will be a lazy day.

Have a great day!
