Congrats on the swimsuit purchase.  I remember how much fun it was last year when I got a nice suit in Rehoboth Beach, on sale, in my size.  I felt like I had won the lottery.

Enjoy the bike ride.  I have not been riding in years.  I would love to try it again, but don't have one at this time.  I think my sister-in-law has one I may borrow some day.

When does your school year end?  Ours is June 23rd for the kiddos and the 25th for us teacher people.

Hugs,
Trish

Shopping is def a better experience these days!!  Although hubby laughingly tells me "Last year you cried cause nothing fit--this year you complain everything is too big!!!"  LOL

We are done school June 12th--Kids are done the 11th! Ahhh!!  These are the craziest last three weeks--then I get to to go to a teacher's development workshop the week after...so technically my vacation does not start until June 19th!! EEK

Hope you are feeling better and that the kiddies don't drive you nuts these last weeks!!!  Summer is almost here!!! YAY!!!

Good morning Trish & PA!

Another beautiful day on hand, nice for the wreath laying ceremonies around the area, God Bless those who gave the ultimate for us to be here celebrating today!

I am going to hang poolside at my g/f's house and bring some steaks, Jersey corn on the cob and a watermelon for a bbq later in the day.  I will make an AA meeting at some point today and then go home and get ready for my new job tomorrow!  Hopefully, I will sleep ok. . .

Well it's coffee time for me, I just finished drinking 32 oz. of water. . .

Have a great day!

Hugs, Laureen

Hey there,
I was at my meeting this morning at 6:00 a.m.  It was a good meeting, as they always are.  I still marvel at how large it is, even on workdays.  We usually average 25-30 people every weekday...more on Saturdays because that is a speaker meeting.

Have fun at your picnic....watermelon and corn sound yummy.  My barbecue grill is acting up, and I am not in the mood to play with it till school ends.  I will just have to endure cooking in my kitchen till then.

Have a great day, and you will do fine tomorrow.  Remember to turn it over and let go.

Hugs,
Trish

Well now, happy memorial day to all and thank you to all the courageous men and women who have served and are serving to protect our country.

On the way home from work I stopped at Giant for a few items...made up my yogurts for the week...making rice for hubby to have w/ some meatballs in brown gravy I made the other night for his meals for the week...also made myself a "milkshake" w/ NSA ice cream crushed pineapple and coconut extract.  It's quite yummy!

I'll finish catching up on the boards...finish the rice...and then head off to bed.  It's a 7p night @ LVH for me tonight.

Whew...no wonder I'm tired, LOL

Nothing exciting planned for today. May take the dogs to Valley Forge later if I have time.  Other than that, I will tackle the lawn and clean the house.  It would be nice to start the new week with all my ducks in a row so to speak.

Good morning... well, my day has already begun. This morning, Siehara and I went to the site of next weeks 5K with the other girls from our school and did a practice run of the 5K course.  We BOTH finished it!!!! She went a little slower than she did at the race, but she still finished it!!!!!

I told her it was because of her that I finished it!! I was determined that I was going to complete that thing if it killed me... and as you can see, I LIVED to tell about it!!! I don't know if I am going to do it the day of her race because I want to be able to take pictures of her doing it.  I can wait and do one of my own another time and she can watch me!

The rest of the day will involve sitting by the pool wearing a much too big bathing suit and catching some sun and cooking a steak out on the grill.

Absolutely no plans for the day and I love it!!

Thanks to all the soldiers who lost their lives saving our freedom!

Afternoon, all!

Today's hubby's birthday, so we are taking it easy around the house all day.  I got up and exercised (more in a sec on that), then went down to feed the cats and found a cute garter snake in the basement (which the cats pointed out to me).  The poor thing panicked and crawled into a caster on a desk chair (who  knew they could DO that???).  So I put a plastic bag around the leg of the chair until I could get someone help me lift the chair (I'm still on lifting restriction) to take the caster off so I could take it outside.  Once outside, daughter Becky and I managed to "tickle" it's belly until it relaxed and came out, so we could release it back into the garden (yay!).

Took my mom to Bon Ton in D'town, then got back to find out our hedge clippers had 'blown up" (motor is blown), so am heading out to get replacements so we can finish the trimming.  Sigh.

Nothing much planned other than working around the house and garden.  Becky and her b'friend are out buying flowers for the back garden, which they are planting this afternoon.  Katie's helping my sister-in-law move (Katie's the "job boss" - recruited 8 of her college guy friends to do the moving, then they're all going swimming in SIL's pool afterward).

I LOVE a quiet day!

Karen

p.s. - Yesterday I started a 30-day challenge in EA Active, so am doing about a 20 - 25 minute workout every day with that... it's designed as "circuit" training, where you're doing rapid rotations of about 15 exercises during that 20-25 minute period.  Because it's a 30-day challenge, each day is designed as part of a progression, so one day you might be doing intense leg work and the next doing intense upper body... but cardio's in there every day.  So far, I'm REALLY impressed with the program!  And my body is SORE (and my heart is pumping and I'm breaking a great sweat during every workout) so I know it's really working!
