Friday Exercise
What are you doing today?
After work I have to take Molly to the vet for her yearly check up and I may take Tucker too so I can get him up on the scale....that, in itself will be a workout LOL I am doing a girls night with the girls from work....one of them is moving to Texas next week so we wanted one last night to get together. I will have to hit the gym tomorrow at some point. I really want to up my cardio and do my weight training. The PS gave me the OK to do arm work, which I was doing very lightly, but I am going to up it a little now. I will have to ask if they are open sunday ( I know they are closed monday).

For the second day in a row, I ran 3.1 miles outside on the pavement.
It's defeinitely a different workout than I'm used to.
I did it in 34 minutes yesterday, 36 today.
I have some serious rubber legs, so I'm hoping the tylenol kicks in soon.
I'll be lifting over lunch, but I may skip the leg portion of my workout. Don't know if I can really do it today.

That's GREAT Norm! I never thought I would like running outside and always stuck to the treadmill. Now I hate the treadmill and only want to run outside! I am starting to work on improving my time - that is when I start running again. Make sure you take time off to rest or do a different activity on your off days from running.

Did a 20-minute "sports day" workout on EA Active for the Wii this morning. I'm STILL really sore from Wednesday's 15-minute workout, which was a lot of lower-body. This was some lower body (lunges and squats), but not as much... more upper body and cardio. The key with this one is going to be balancing, so I think I'll start one of their 30-day challenges tomorrow (they're designed to work different things each day). I'll tell you, though, I'm very impressed by the level of the workout and the feedback you get during the exercises. It's really like working with a personal trainer in a lot of ways.
Yesterday I was simply too sore to do more than just very gentle walking, which I did last night at the Philly Museum of Art... jewelry fashion show, private viewing of the Cezanne exhibit, and the metalsmith masters exhibit. Ended up doing 1.3 slow miles, but that was all the thighs and butt could take!
Tomorrow, I get to pound metal all day, so the upper body will be getting a workout. That's good because I think the legs are going to be sore again/still.
Haha.

Hi Heather! Taking your two dogs to the vet has got to be a workout in itself!
For me, I am doing nothing. I ran on Sunday and then pushed myself to run on Wednesday and Thursday which turned out not to be a good thing. I have pulled something (or irratated it) in my leg. My 'trainer' told me not to run but I didn't listen to him. Another runner I know said for each mile I run in a race, I should take off that many days for recovery. Well to late now, but I am not doing anything all weekend except sitting out by the pool, playing golf and enjoying my family.
Have a great weekend!
