exactly! if I see her and she starts again maybe I'll have enough confidence to tell her something to that effect.

I agree with the others.  My advice is that when she gets snarky, say back in a very serious tone "I don't appreciate that comment."  You may have to repeat it if she keeps up the snarking, but say it enough and she'll know that she can't get away with that in front of you.  I use this trick all the time and it works.

Don't let her stupid comments get you down.  You are doing what's best for you, and that is all that matters.  F her!!!  Oh and F Ron too -- I would love to punch him for showing gastric bypass patients in such a bad light on the Biggest Loser!

I was so close to saying something...I could kick myself that I didn't. I was so annoyed by Ron too. then when she brought him my fiance knew I was pissed.

Oh yes people will try to slam you for it...they dont understand, dont let them upset you its not worth it, once I started loosing the next biggest girl in the office went on a diet and her and her buddy would tell me I looked good, then say how she was loosing weight too the right way I just laughed and said good for you....

believe me it not THAT easy we have to work at it....its just differnt; what do they say different strokes for different folks   KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!!!

the surgery DOES do all the work in the first year....how a person maximizes things is up to them. Obviuously by working out at a gym, you are not letting your surgery do ALL the work. You're doing some too...

So you shoulda told her to go eff herself...that's what I should have done to lots of people along the way.  Don't even waste your energy trying to defend your decision...and dont get discouraged

yeah it's an eye opening experience...learning to deal with people. hopefully soon it will just go in one ear and out the other and I can tell them where to stuff their opinions.

SHe sucks!! I would write a letter to the YMCA stating all the points she made and tell them that youa re seriously considering renewing your's and your finacee's membership - if nothing more see if they toss in something free. make sure you mention her name too.
