It's Working!!
So I am down a total of 5 lbs since joining - not too bad in a month considering I have been in a miserable STALL since last year!! I am also down a total of 6.75" overall and this is great since I never took my measurements when I started my journey - and the best part of all my BMI is down almost one full percentage point.
So yeah Curves!! I go 3 times a week and supplement in between with my recumbant bike and walking - and I think the neatest thing about losing inches at this point in my journey is because I do have a lot of loose skin and was afraid that was beyond help, but every little inch coming off the batwings, flabby thighs and every other body part is a bonus!!

Congrats on your inches and pounds lost. On average I am losing about a 1 lb. to 2 lbs. per month for the last several, so while it slowed up, at least I am going in the right direction and this morning I was actully within 2 lbs. of marking 100 lbs. since my highest weight in March of 2007 and I am within 6 lbs. of my personal goal and I've had stalls that lasted me two months, so I know how that feels.
I totally can relate to the shopping and wearing new things and I now enjoy shopping a whole lot more than in the past, though I can also relate to the batwings and flabby thighs and other body parts (lol)! The other day I started shopping for some clothing to wear for my new job and while I look pretty darn good in those new clothes, the bright light of the mirror was a bit too revealing for me (lol), but you know, I'll take it and now that I have a job, maybe some plastics are in my future, but it will be a little while since I just got employed ;) I am also looking forward to joining a gym, as because of my unemployment issues I had to cancel my membership, but I was pretty active physically with all the house project stuff, so that helped, but I actually missed the gym and that is yet another new aspect of my life!
Enjoy your workouts and take care, Laureen

When do you start your new job? Soon? Can you take the train down to Wilmington or will you have to drive? I wish you all the best in it - you're going to do great!!
Kathy
Thanks! I start the new job next week, the first day I have to report to their main office in Hackensack for the usual orientation, training and whatnot. I will probably drive, as they pay for the parking and I don't know my way around well enough to take the train, besides by the time I would take the train into Phillie and get the train to DE, I could be there quicker I think if I drive myself and thankfully, I do not mind driving, so long as I have reliable transportation, which I do, as I have a car that is only 6 months old.
The hardest part of this is going to be leaving Dillinger, though my roommate is home mostly on Monday's and Tuesday's, so he won't be alone totally all the time. Yesterday marked 3 months since he had his near fatal event and the vet said he had 1 to 3 months to live, but, happily, I can say he is still with me and she said there are rare cases of dogs that go past it. I've always said he is special and there is the proof.
Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
