I have no idea what I posted when I did Roll Call earlier...I was sober, but probably asleep....ACK.

hello pa peeps...I'm a little silly from lack of sleep.

I'm here with my usual late night/early morning roll call post.

I'm actually kind of offended at the moment. A post on the main forum has totally rubbed me the wrong way. It wasn't to me or really about me...I just didn't like the tone of it. I want/wanted to leave a reply but couldn't think of anything nice to say. I was going to at least say I found it offensive, but my computer freezes when I try so I think it's a sign lol. Guess I'll bite my tongue.

The weather here today was pretty crappy. Not sure what it's supposed to be like Sunday.

Monday will mark 2 weeks til my surgery so I'm trying to start getting things in order. Like what to buy, how to get this and that accomplished so I think Sunday will consist of some of that. Plus I think sleeping will be done because I don't see much of it happening tonight for some reason.

I must sound like the most boring person in these posts, but I never know what's going on when it's only 2 or so in the am. lol. I used to be a planner, but now I just kind of go with the flow.

hope everyone has a happy Sunday!

Many of us have left the main board for that exact reason.  I left 6 weeks out of surgery when somebody posted something about "the surgery not working for her friend" and I replied matter of factly and asked if her friend "knew" all the rules and was following them.  Well....what proceeded next was a flaming response saying how dare I make comments such as that when I have no idea what I am doing because I am so new out blah blah blah blah blah.  The friend, PS, was only about 6 mos out.  I have my own opinions on the surgery "not" working and quite frankly, except in very rare cases of older versions of bypass, do I not buy the not working thing.  Fact of the matter is - you work the tool the tool works.  It takes a long time for some etc etc etc....anyway....that's why I got off the main board, and I guess I'll step off my soap box now :)

yeah...the main board isn't one of my favorite places lately. I try to stick around here and some other smaller boards. I'm glad this one is pretty active.  :)

Morning!

On the way home from work I stopped at the storage unit to make sure we had access.  For some reason last weekend we didn't....when everything was up to date as far as payments and what not.  Of course...the office was closed so we couldn't do anything about it....anywho....it's fine now.  Go figure.

Then I went to the grocery store picked up a "few" items to the tune of 50 bucks later (how do I do this?)

I did some prep work for some food for me tonight and also for a party at work tomorrow night.

Now I'm chilling...gonna have dinner...catch up here and maybe a few mins on facebook and then head off to bed.  The inlaws might be over when I get up....blech....not only do I not enjoy the in laws all that much to begin with, I absolutely HATE people in my house when I wake up.  I don't like to have to be all nicey nice when all I want to do is plod around in my stupor for just a little longer :)  Hubby says he's gonna attempt to cancel tonights visit....but they can be difficult at best to deal with.

Anyway...that's my day!  Back to work tonight...3 down, 2 to go!

Pam

Good morning, all!

We're just hanging out this morning, playing computer games and watching tv.  We're heading out later to see Star Trek.  Also have a trip to WalMart in the plans for today.  (I finally broke out the ice cream maker yesterday and tried making protein ice cream.  Got to pick up some supplies for more!  lol)

Have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning all.  I am so excited to be on the loser bench.  Well today I get to see my monster they are coming home from their visit with their dad.  And then spend the day with my mom and brother.  And then my brother is going to take me and the boys back to my house.  I live about 25 minutes from my mom's.  And he is going to stay with me tonight.  My mom thinks that will be a good thing.  I am really feeling better.  And continue to feel better every hour.

Still sipping, walking and resting.

Hi everyone - hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

I actually went out last night !  My boyfriend joined a band and they had their first "gig" last night.  I rounded up a bunch of our friends and we all had a great time.

This is somewhat epic for me, since I normally stay away from public gatherings.  I'm very self-conscious about my weight and it holds me back often.

Today I'm doing laundry and packing for vacation.  We leave early Wednesday morning.  I'm excited to get away with my boyfriend.  Talk about large crowds.....we are going to Charlotte for the big NASCAR race.  Hopefully I won't freak out too bad with the crowds.

Still counting down the days til WLS....36 days to go

Have a great day !
Lisa

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

I usually don't chime in to the daily sign-ins...but felt like it today!  I think it's a combination of feeling great about my pre-surgery weight loss and of knowing that this week I should get a call from my doctor about the date of my surgery, AND the fact that this is the last week of the school year that I will have our preschool children.  It should be a pretty fantastic week!

So, I'm holding at -50 lbs on the pre-surgery diet.  I have my good days and my bad, but have this whole "Oh, I better hit the gym today" attitude that I would have absolutely laughed at before!  This seems to help hold me together when I flounder on the diet.  Ran into an old neighbor at the grocery store today and she said "Everytime I see you, you are looking thinner and thinner!  I"m so proud of you!  Keep it up!"  Felt really good!

I'm cooking dinner for my in-laws tonight.  My friend gave me a really yummy recipe for chicken stuffed shells.  I'm trying to make it less fattening by changing the 8oz. sour cream to fat-free and bought fat free cheese...etc.  I'll post the recipe if it comes out tasting as good as the regular recipe did.  We'll have the shells, fresh green beans and my mother-in-law's Italian tomato salad.  (I've also watched my intake the rest of the day.)

So, other than cleaning the house from top to bottom and trying to get rid of any traces of the doggie smell in our house, I'm going to relax and enjoy the sunshine & my family!

Hope you all can do the same!
Have a great week!
Pat

P.S. Did I say how excited I am to finally hear about my surgery date?  Of course I did!  WooHoo!
