Okay I have made up my mind!
Okay I have been thinking lately that WLS is not for me. I just can not go through with it. I have been thinking that I should try and lose the weight on my own and push myself instead of having the surgery. I am scared of having complications and things after surgery and the thought of having to gain the weight back scares me too. I figured that this is my disease that I have and well..I have to fight it the rest of my life anyways..with or without the surgery. Guess I am in for this for life and I am going to do what I can to fight this disease. I will still come on and talk to others as I was so close to my surgery..only a month and a few days away.
Congrats on your decision. If that is the way that you feel, than it is good that you are not going thru with it at this time. You need to make sure that you are possitive about it. Did you try Weigh****chers? It worked for me, but I got bored. Did you ever consider the Lap Band? I love it!! It is not a permanent thing, it works just not as fast. You can decide the weight loss by diet and exercise. My daughter had gastric bypass and I had lap band. I hope whatever your finally decision is, you have the best of luck!!!

Dee,
I don't mean to sound harsh, but I think that is the absolute right decision for you. There have been a lot of "red flags" lately that I have noticed in your posts, that, quite frankly, scared me that you were going through the surgery.
If and when you are ready (in all respects including emotionally, physically, financially, and mentally) then you will know.
I wish you the best of luck in everything :)

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Good job. Congratulations on making the decision that is right for you. You have to be 100% committed to this and if you have some serious doubts about going through with it the absolute best thing you can do is to wait. Good luck on your journey and I wish you much success with losing weight and winning your battle no matter which method you chose. Belinda
Weight loss surgery is not for everyone and I think you have come thru the process far enough to be making a good decision for yourself. You are young and I wish you all the best in losing the weight on your own - there are dozens of tools and plans out there that can help you on that journey, and you know that if you should ever change your mnd again you can always start the process over.
Its a huge decision and one that requires and deserves 100% commitment and if you know you are not ready for that then you are making the decision that is best for you.
