14-16?? Moi???

Friday I ran out to the outlets in Lancaster in a desparate search for pants and tops for spring and summer - everything from last year is much too large this year (YEAH ME!).

Went into Dress Barn and grabbed 18's and 20's in pants - I am happy to report I am now in a SOLID 18 PANT - I had a couple of pair of 18s at home but wasn't quite fitting into some of them and now I do.

Then I ran into the Lane Bryant outlet - yeah, I know - I should just stay away but at this point I was really stretched for time because I had mom with me and she her oxygen machine was getting down - and I know one thing about Lane Bryant clothing - it does run true to size so a lot of times I don't have to try things on, but I grabbed a bunch of tops - eye-balled them and checked out. Got home and realized I had picked up 3 14-16's and thought 'okay dumb-dumb, these are not going to fit' but hey, guess what - THEY DO!!

I haven't been in a 14-16 since I was 16! That was a very long, long time ago...so needless to stay I was a very happy girl!

So while I have knocked off about 5 more lbs since joining Curves I'm guessing I've lost some inches in there too in order to be able to fit into these new clothes.

Kathy,
Rock those 14-16 sizes but do divorce Lane Bryant. I am so happy for you and you have done AMAZING in this journey. I hope to be able to meet you in person one of these days. I know Barix is far for you but if you ever attend a Saturday meeting I would love to catch up.

Take Care:)

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

YAYYYYY!!!  You go!!!!  What an incredible feeling, isn't it?  Savor it.  ESPECIALLY when the carb monster is screaming at you at work.  Close your eyes, take a deep breath and remember what it felt like to slide into those 14-16 and have them fit!  I re-visit those moments constantly to remind me AND my body how I like it to feel.  Amazing work!!!

regards, keri

I swear, I think we live parallel lives.  I had the same exact experience in the same exact stores.

Good for you.  I know how hard you are working and it is really paying off.
