Pre-Op visit today lots of Info

Pre-op and Nutrition class at UPENN today.
Interesting to say the least.  I was super suprised
at how little those in my class knew or were informed.
This made the class an hour longer...but we got
through it.  My husband came and that was cool.

I was a bit suprised about the length of the hospital stay.
How long were you in?  I go in Monday and will be
discharged Thursday.  For some odd reason I
thought it was shorter...

Oh well...the countdown begins...

Congrats on getting through another phase!! I was in 2 nights but every hospital is different, some kick you out the next day! Take the time there you can get - let other people wait on you! lol

congrats I was in 3 days 2 nights

I had surgery on a Tuesday and was discharged on Thursday.  However...it depends on your surgeon..open...lap...how you recover etc.  I've heard of others who were told a longer stay but then ended up getting d/c "early" cause they were doing so good ("early" meaning two nights in the hospital, home on the third day in most instances)

Glad you got a lot of info.  The uninformed people...those are who scare me.

Yeah!  Great for you!  I had my surgery with Dr. Dumon in December and am down 94 lbs.  I hope everything went well for you!
