Hello

Hello everyone I am Angie from Uniontown Pa I just recently joined OH and I'm trying to get the hang of navigating the board.
I met my surgeon last month....and I am in the 3rd month of working with my PCP on my diet and testing needed in order to submit to insurance etc... I'm confused and excited about alot of things and hope to take advantage of the  Forum to learn as much as I can.

My procedure will be done at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh Pa by Carol McCloskey

Welcome aboard Angie!!  This is a great board for friendship, support and information. Don't hesitate to ask ANYTHING - nothing is off limits and there is about a 99.9% chance that someone here as been through the exact same thing! There is nothing too silly to ask.

This is a scary, confusing, exciting kind of time - it is a big decision and one that you won't regret for a minute! I am 2+ years out and haven't regretted my decision for one millisecond!!

WE have a few people on board here who have had their surgery at Magee too.

I wish I had found this Board as early as you are in the process.  The huge value is that there are people who are complete newbies and people who are years out from their surgery and everything in between.  So between them, pretty much ANY question can be answered.

welcome! I'm still a preop, waiting on insurance approval now. this forum has been so great, lots of info, lots of support. how many PCP visits do you need?

welcome to the boards... I am sure the western PAers will be happy for another in their area... some are getting together for a support meeting/cooking get together for that part of the state... you should hook up with them...

Welcome, I am also a Magee Alum. and cannot say a bad thing about them. Good luck to you and post away. I have found a TON of information and ideas on what to eat so don't be afraid to ask away and I am sure anyone can point you in the right direction.

I had my surgery in march at Magee, by Dr. Eid.  Nothing but a positive experience, i am glad i chose Magee and Dr Eid and his group!
