On pureed food...what else can I eat?
I've been on pureed food since May 4th. So far, I've had FF cottage cheese, FF refried beans w/ff shredded cheddar cheese, unsweetened applesauce w/cinnamon on top, SF jello pudding, SF jello, mashed potatoes w/Chicken unjury mixed in, Cream of Wheat w/ Unjury powder mixed in, tuna, haddock, chicken, pork and ham.
Is there any other kind of pureed food that I could try? I'm getting a little bored with these choices.

I've been on pureed for a week now... try:
Smart Chili (pureed in blender) with a dollop of plain greek yogurt and a topping of a little shredded cheese (YUM!!!!)
Thick turkey noodle soup (like the Martha Stewart Turkey Noodle available at Costco - really good!), pureed (optionally add some greek yogurt to it to up the protein)
Baked chicken breast (seasoned) - almost 1/2 C pureed, with a tablespoon of mashed potatoes and 2 tbsp of greek yogurt
Cucumbers (works best with seedless), garlic, onion and a tiny bit of salt (to taste) pureed with plain greek yogurt (COLD - refrig for about an hour after making for the best taste) (tastes like tzatziki sauce for souvlaki)
Oatmeal cooked with milk (can optionally add protein powder)
Grits cooked with milk (can go either "sweet" or "savory" - add garlic and cheddar cheese OR add SF maple syrup or fruit)
Plain yogurt with sugar-free "all fruit" preserves (splenda if needed)
Pureed fruits (mix fresh and frozen for a nice texture) with cool whip (and optional protein powder)
Pureed fruits with FF cream cheese and a little milk (creates a "mousse")
Hope these give you some ideas! You can basically puree pretty much anything that your family is eating. Jus****ch the fat and sugar content ... add unflavored protein if you need it to make your protein goal for the day... or supplement the pureed foods with a protein shake or two.

There are a few brands out there.... Oikos (made by Stonyfield Farms) and Fage are the two that come to mind easily. Fage isn't clearly labeled "greek yogurt" (it's in the finer print).
I've found them consistently at Acme, Wegmans, Giant, and Safeway.
Plain yogurt can work the same way as the greek yogurt. It doesn't taste QUITE the same (greek yogurt tastes a little more like sour cream with its "bite"), but both are very acceptable substitutes for each other.
hope this helps!
