Cleared the last hurdle. 13 days and counting!!
Great news and good luck!
Best words of encouragement for the liquid diet is to just take it a day or hour at a time. Assuming that your doctor hasn't specified CLEAR liquids (and check with her to make sure), look for things with protein that will help you not be as hungry. For example, can you do protein drinks like Ensure or Slim Fast? Milk can also help you fight hunger.
Keep your eyes on the prize. Understand that your doctor is trying to shrink the fat in your abdomen (particularly around your liver) to make your surgery more successful. And realize that AFTER the surgery, you won't be hungry for a long time, so there's a definite end to the hunger!
And take this time to start walking and stretching. As I've said in other posts, both will really help with your post-surg recovery!
good luck!

I can have protein drinks and even SF jello and all the non calorie liquids I want. But it sounds dreadful. 8 days!!! And I won't even be sick. It seems so extreme. I just don't know how I'm going to do it, but I have to, and I am finished with wor****i next semester so at least I don't have to try to function while starving!!
