Stickin to the Basics - Monday
2 years 3 1/2 months out
B: 1/2 bagel with reduced fat cream cheese and a few slices cheddar cheese
S: cheese
L: spaghetti with ricotta
S: fage
D: trout and a veggie - either broccoli or zucchini
S: l/f s/f cheesecake with strawberry topping - LOADED with protein! I used 1/2 fat free cream cheese and 1/2 1/3 less fat and it has 6 eggs! Then some splenda and vanilla and I think that's it!
*DISCLAIMER* I'll post this for the week - I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant so my nutritional goals are slightly different. 1500 calories, 90 grams protein, 100 grams carbs. I am struggling to get it all in but trying my hardest!
Today it is definitely "stickin to the basics", as I start the 5-day pouch test with several others. So on the menu today is FLUID!!!! LOL
I have to stop at Wal-mart to get some protein that someone suggested last night, because I gave my Any Whey to my SIL. But this morning I've had 10 oz of no-calorie, no sugar Powerade. And for breakfast I'm going to have a Carnation Instant Breakfast. Lunch I may have the same thing but with added protein from the stuff I get at Wal-mart. Throughout the day I will be having some broth and sf/ff pudding or jello. And for dinner, I actually have no idea...but I can bet you a million dollars it will be fluid...lol!!!
Have a great day everyone!!
I don't mind you asking :) If we put something out here for all the world to see, it's basically everybody's business...lol!!
But it actually doesn't have anything to do with weight loss. If I lose a few pounds, good. If I don't, it doesn't matter. I'm perfectly fine with where I'm at. I fluctuate between 160 and 164. So the ticker may be off at the moment. I'm going to Barix this morning to get weighed. So we shall see what the scale says. I wanted to know for sure before I started the test.
The 5-day pouch test is a way for you to get back on track with your eating habits. Some of us are struggling to do the "right thing", so we've decided to get back on track with stuff. I'm not doing horrible, but I figured I would give it a try. I do snack on pretzels a lot and have found out that I can basically tolerate sugar, which I thought I never would test the waters, but I did. It's ok. I'm fine with it, but I don't want it to get out of control. Because that's what got me fat in the first place was eating WAY TOO much sugar.
So I will test the waters with the 5-day pouch test and see where I've been going wrong :) I was never one to write everything down or to plan anything out. I just kinda went with the flow throughout the day. So this will be a change for me.
Take care. I will probably post to let everyone know how I've been doing.
Thanks - it does make sense if you feel you're getting that far off track, and god knows I may be doing it myself one of these days. I still don't test the sugar waters - fear of dumping horribly scares the pants off me! I can be a carb-hound tho, and we all know that's not good either. I still track and my eating is still fairly good - some days I can really push my pouch but actually since I joined Curves and am feeling better I notice I'm not pushing it like I had been.
My weight has been the same for months - would still ike to get 25-30 more pounds off but not sure that's going to happen at this point. We'll see - I know the owner at Curves said not to expect weight loss the first month because of the toning and muscle building, and I weigh myself on Mondays and this morning the scaled looked like it was down 2 lbs or so, so I'm good with that - I think I get weighed and measured this week.
Good luck to you (and your buds) on the 5DPT - I know everyone says the first couple of days are the hardest but let's face it, we've been through hard before!!
