Anyone know what kind of test they do for Nicotine?

Mouth Swabs also are a way the will find nicotine. If you are serious about quitting smoking get a RX for Chantix. I smoked for almost 20 years. I just came to the conclusion one day that if I wanted to see my daughter grow up I needed to grow up and take control of the situation. I tired the patch, the gum, cold turkey nothing worked. I started Chantix September 13 2007 and have been smoke free since then,. I had no side effects, and I had no withdrawal symptoms, never *****y, and did not have that urge to smoke. I recommend Chantix to any one that is serious about quitting.

I agree I smell better too.. I go to a bar now and when I walk out I want to throw up I cant stand the smell of myself.

Along the same line..............do any of you know, do they tell you before they do the nicotene test, or do they sneak it in among other lab tests? Also, what if you are on the patch? Does that show up as the same type of nicotene as smoking??

I would think that they would have to tell you. They can't do a test without your concent or knowledge.

I hope you're able to quit before your surgery!  I quit 11 years ago and am soooo glad I did.  Good luck to you!!!!  (BTW, your surgery is the day before mine.  Maybe we'll get the chance to meet while we're at Barix.)

If your surgery dates don't change...I bet $$ on the fact you are doing laps together!
