Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday was a glorious day weather wise....hope today is similar. I got my upper body workout with the crutches and the wheelchair. My students enjoyed pushing me around in the chair as well. My foot was so much better at the end of the day too.
Today has me resting my foot a lot and then my son, Chris, is coming down from New York to take me out for Mothers' Day dinner. He wanted to take me to the Phillies game, but I can't get in and out of the stadium that well with the crutches, so we are heading to Chickie and Pete's for the game, I think.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Mom's Day to all the Ladies who have children, and the ladies who love or work with children.

Good Morning! Trish - glad to hear the foot felt better by staying off of it. You could start a new work out video entitled something like "Buff by Crutches" or something :)
Anywho - yesterday WAS gorgeous out! Today it seems to be VERY humid, so it wouldn't surprise me if the rain they were talking about for yesterday and today came around at some point.
Today, once I get my rear in gear hubby and I are headed to my grandmother's house for a family gathering. I haven't seen a few of the people coming in quite some time, so that will be nice. It will also be nice to have a day just to chill. No running around...no multiple appointments..it doesn't even matter what time we show up! I can't wait.
I probably won't be on the boards as much today because of it, so I hope everyone has a very happy, restful weekend.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. 
"Buff by Crutches" sounds like a great idea....lol. I was joking with my fellow teachers that I was going for the Michelle Obama arms, so I could wear those sleeveless dresses and look as good as her. Ha.

Good morning, all!
Glad to hear your sense of humor is intact, Trish!
Got up early to enjoy the morning (i do think it's supposed to rain later). Took my walk, started to get in the shower and completely forgot that the chimney sweep was coming! (had to throw on clothes to let him in... sheesh). Of course, he found an additional problem that needed fixing, so that's an extra $450. Yikes.
Planning yard work and house work, but then the girls, hubby Ed, and I are going to see Star Trek tonight at 7 PM. This is an event... we get to the movies about once every couple of years if we're lucky!
Daughter Katie got home from college last night for the summer - yay!

I do try to see humor in everything, especially when I am blessed. It could have been a lot worse with this foot, so the boot, the crutches and the wheelchair, which are all temporary, are blessings. Many people are not as blessed, or healthy, so I see humor where I can.

I didn't even realize Star Trek was out! We promised the MIL we would take her to see it.

Happy Mothers Day, HG. My sister takes her dog to PetSmart for day care several times a week. She also takes him through the drive-thru at McDonald's and Wendys. He loves Happy Meals.

New here, but looks like this is the thread just to talk about our plans and stuff?
Anyway today is going well so far and it's only noon. I'm kind of becoming a crazy dog lady...my puppy's 1st bday is next month and I got him a bday shirt. lol. It says "I'm the birthday boy" and there's a cupcake on it. I feel bad for dressing him up so I usually just put it on for pictures then take it off. For his size shirts aren't really expensive. He's spoiled anyway. He doesn't seem to mind the little tank tops though and his winter coat came in handy this year.
As for the rest of the day...it's been raining a little here, but I was going to go out and attempt to get the garden ready. First year for a garden here. I'm such a girly girl and hate dirt, but I'm told gardening is calming so we'll see lol.
Lost 2 more pre surgery lbs. I've been trying my best with this and it's kind of working. Slowly but surely.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms on the board. Even though I have kids I have a hard time dealing with Mother's Day since my moms death. The worst part this year is my step-mother is in her last days at hospice and I am stuck 800 miles away. I am sure nothing exciting will happen this weekend. I am still in a deep funk. On the up-side I have recently found that eggs are working well for me. I add some fat free cheese and some ham, and it makes a great protein filled meal.
