****TGIF Roll Call*****

Hey Everyone,
I saw the sunshine on Thursday....yes, that ball of fire in the sky did show itself and it shined for a while.

Anywho, the orthopedist said I don't need a cast or surgery.  I am to stay off the foot and use crutches, or a walker, and/or wheelchair if I return to work.  Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts.

Friday has me getting a ride to and from work from a colleague, and then crashing at home.  Nothing exciting.

Have a great weekend.

Huggles,
Trish

Today is a very busy day.  Volunteer this morning, dance class this afternoon and support group tonight.

Had a bad dream last night that my hubby died.  I was thinking how vulnerable I would be.  I know with his job loss and no insurances, I feel a bit vulnerable.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Well whoo hoo for no surgery!  Good luck staying off that food - that can be soooo hard to do, I'm sure.  I'm glad you have supportive colleagues who can drive you to work and what not!

We FINISHED painting yesterday.  Wow, I wasn't really expecting that.

So today's agenda....laundry laundry laundry.  I've neglected that for about 2 weeks now, an oy vey!

In between loads of that, I plan on not doing much of anything at all!  Hubby mentioned wanting to possibly vaccuum out his jeep....and in all honesty my car could use a good "beating" as well.  Maybe if I get up the energy today, we'll do that.

Right now the sun is shining BRIGHTLY over here, although the last weather report I heard was severe thunderstorms.  I don't know when they are supposed to roll around.

Have a great day!

Pam

Trish - glad to hear no cast or therapy!!

Busy day for me here too - wor****il 4 then going to the hospital to see mom. On my way home I am going to stop and grocery shop. That accounts for being in my car for about 4 hours today...

I heard that the thunderstorms are supposed to come around the afternoon rush hour so my trip from work to the hospital will probably take over 2 hours instead of 1 1/2.

This weekend I need to get some roses planted and some cooking done for next week - oh and lots of naps and resting! Sunday I am going to go see my MOm in the hospital for Mother's Day then stop and see my Grandmother and home to relax and spend time with hubby.

Make it a great day and TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all - today has me working with my 8th graders, and then finally gettiing back to the pool this afternoon!  Then looking forward to a quiet evening followed by a quiet weekend!  It is about time!  Why do I think that all this quiet time will turn into - lets see what we can do around the house time?

Have a great day everyone!  Happy Mother's Day to all who are already moms, getting ready to become a mom and hoping to become a mom soon! :)

TGIF !!

Today I am getting ready to take my son to the bus stop and then go to the gym. I am dragging my daughter with me because she was sent home yesterday for a rash on her face. The doctor said it was nothing but I kept her home today just in case. It is cleared up for the most part.
I am cranky this morning because of the damn scale....yes, I know several of you are going to say...stay off the scale But I can't. I have been in a stall for like three weeks and have not seen it move. I get up every morning and pray that it will have moved...just a bit. It is making me crazy. I have done the measurements and I am loosing inches but I am obesessed with the number. I am sure some of you can relate. Actually, it is not really the number...I think it is more the worry that I am doing something wrong, just like Arlene said at Barix on Saturday.....you feel like you are the only one this is not going to work for. I just need the scale to move.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and thanks for listening to me vent.  Happy Friday!

I do understand the STAY OFF THE SCALE thing.  Everytime one of my students or my colleagues - says, WOW - I can really see it - I expect to get on the scale and see a ten pound drop! (Just a little irrational!)  Just looking at Arlene - I totally beleive ANYTHING she says - it also helps that she worked for the same district that I currently do and survived - so she is also a hero in my book for that! :)  LOL!  Anyway - I can't imagine how that will feel when I get to that point!  I am sorry that you are sooo frustrated!  Have you talked to a nutritionist to see if what you are eating is OK?  I am sure you are doing everything right and that your body is just a bit confused!  I am wishing you a quick breakthrough and a huge drop just in time for Mother's Day! :)

See you in June! :)

We've all been there, done that.  And yes, a lot of us (myself included) will say "get off the scale"

I'm SURE you are not doing anything wrong.  However...some tips....

Change EVERYTHING.  If you normally get most of your protein from lets say dairy, back off of the dairy and eat some other forms of protein.  If you are stuck in a "food rut" which is easy for us to do, change it up.  Your body is a wonderful sleuth.  It has figured out you are getting a LOT less calories than it is used to - so it believes it is starving.  Not only that, but it has now figured out (if you are eating basically the same things) how much of what you are getting from what foods.  Change it up each week or even each day and the body can no longer "anticipate" how to hold onto those calories.

Same thing for the gym/exercise.  If you can change up your routine, even better.  People say that even if your work out consists of walking each day, a simple thing such as changing the route you walk helps.

And finally, if all else fails, hire this guy  to kidnap your scale for a week or two.  Well worth any money needed for the hiring fee!

Up the water and know that you will NOT be the only person this doesn't work for.  You didn't gain all of your weight in a 3 week period, you won't lose it all in a three week period either.

((hugs))

Happy TGIF Everybody, and Happy Mother's Day to all you ladies out there who have or are having children (whether they're normal or furry!) in case I don't get to post over the weekend.

Its a glorious Friday - that sun is shining and its beautiful outside. Had a lousy headache all day yesterday but its gone today - probably lack of caffeine.

Today finds me at work - pizza lunch - not my fav but I'll participate. Tonight laundry - hoping to get some outside stuff done this weekend - have put no flowers or plants in yet. Would like to get my garden stuff out.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kathy
