TGIF!!!! I will hit the gym tonight for a nice long cardio workout.  I will also hit the lower body weight machines and some very light arms with free weights.

What are you going to do?

Went to Curves last night and had a good work-out, then after dinner took the dog for a nice long walk. Tonight I'll walk with the dog then ride my bike. Tomorrow morning back to Curves. I'm settling into a nice pattern and don't want to disrupt it now.

45 minutes on the the treadmill and then closing off the week with an hour of free weights over lunch!

I have to mow the lawn at some point this weekend, which is going to be a freaking workout in and of itself! It's a mess.

I may have to join CURVES....just got my date 6/8/2009.

I am really looking forward to some of this chronic pain from Lupus
and Fibromyalgia decreasing so I can MOVE, WALK, HIKE and live
a healthy life.

Did 1.5 mile (brisk) this morning, with 10 mins of "standing abs."  I'm now wiped (not sure what's going on - last couple of days have been REALLY low energy).  My PLAN is to do another set tonight and to try at least part of my pilates dvd.  But it also depends on what my body is telling me - i've really had to push to do even the minimum for a couple of days. (But i HAVE done it, which is a huge change from the old me.)

Don't overdo it, Karen.. you are still early out from surgery.  You need to let your body heal.

Heather,

There's a 10-minute workout (available on Comcast On-Demand Exercise channel if you have it) called "Standing Abs" that I really like.  It's a set of standing exercises that are all designed to work on the abs... so things like specific types of leg lifts where you're lifting from the ab instead of the leg, standing crunches, isometrics, and ab isolations.  It's "a little bit cardio, a lotta bit strength and flexibility."  Parts of it are almost like standing pilates.
