new to the PA forum
Hi everyone. I usually just post on the main board, but I was looking for some more support and someone suggested checking out the local boards since they're smaller and more close knit.
Anyway I'm in the Erie area and one step away from sending my info to insurance. All we're waiting for is my cpap titration results to come in which could be today or Monday. This tiny wait is driving me insane! I've been waiting months and I can't wait a few days for this lol.
I'm 28, female, and lived in this area my whole life. Would love to meet some people in the same area, but anywhere is fine. :)

Yes I am very happy that things are moving along. Part of me thinks the waiting is annoying, but then when you really think about it the time gives you an opportunity to really read up on things and make sure you want this. healthwise though I'm falling apart and the wait is only letting things progress. soon enough I'll be on my way to a healthier life.
I started researching RNY in April of 2007 and officially started my journey on a June day in 2007 at my first meeting at Barix and never had my surgery until February 2008 - geez, even seeing those dates now seems like so long ago. But it went quickly - there was a lot I had to do for my insurance company to cover it so that helped make the time go by. The only real glitch I had was I had gone for my PATs and was ready for my surgery date when they called me from Barix and asked if they could postpone me for 2 weeks - I was crushed at first but figured everything works out for the best, and it did.
Once you've had your surgery and are on your way you'll forget all about that waiting game.

Welcome to the PA board.
I'm not TOO far away from you, in Pittsburgh... and about a month away from sending my info to the insurance. I just need to do my Psych Eval (next week) and one more of my 6 month diet follow-up. It has been quite a ride these past few months. I'm excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
If you need any support or just wanna talk, feel free to PM me anytime!
thanks for the welcome! I know what you mean about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I say I'll be better once I have a date, but I think that will start a whole new waiting process for me that I'm sure will drive me just as insane lol.
same goes for you...if you need/want to talk feel free to message me!
