Thanks for all of your prayers! Unfortunately we don't really have an answer yet. She was transfered to the hospital where she had her original surgery - Somerset Medical Center -  and is in the oncology unit. They did a scope and a CAT scan, I guess they couldn't find a blockage - she sent me a text this morning (can't talk sore throat from teh scope) and they might do surgery this morning - I am guessing exploratory - but I am waiting to hear back from our friend that is the director of nursing at the hospital.

I am going to try and leave work like 2:30ish and go down.

Continued prayers appreciated!!! Her name is Toni.

Thanks All!! Love You guys - you are the best support ever.

Liz

PS - I am holding up OK - I was up and down most of the night so I didn't get much sleep. I know I need to take care of me but once I see her and know that she is doing better I will be able to sleep tonight.

Hugs and prayers to you and your family, Liz - I know how trying these times can be. And yes, remember to take care of yourself through all this.

Don't know if you remember but my mom has lung cancer but honestly has been doing pretty well with it - she has a tumor growing into her pulminary artery into her left lung so they can't operate. Chemo and radiation did shrink it but she hasn't had that in almost 2 years. Monday she had a cat scan and the oncologists' office called yesterday and wanted her in to see him ASAP, so we're thinking this is not good news. On her last scan back in October they saw a spot on her one rib but weren't sure it was anything, so we don't know if that has turned out to be something or if the chest tumor is growing again. I'm taking her Monday afternoon to see the oncologist and we'll find out more then.

Life - never a dull moment, eh.

We'll just send a big old order of prayers up to the big man for everyone!

Kathy

I already posted ont he preggo board, but wanted to chime in here too since Kathy is kinda going through the same thing.

I am definately praying for you guys. I have been down this road and I know it's hard, stressful, and worrisome. Have faith, pray and have strength. Your love and support mean everything when there are unanswered questions. I am hoping for the best for both you guys.

Have lots of faith, hope and love!

Thanks Jo! I have the utmost faith - she is in fantastic hands and has the will that she WILL be ok. It has been a trying year seeing her go through all of this - she is young (52) and has always been the one caring for everyone else through it all! We aren't used to having her as the patient! And well when she is sick my Dad worries - he is an insulin dependent diabetic, so I worry that he isn't going to take proper care of himself during these times too - his sugar will run high until she is home and doing well. And well now being preggo I am a bundle of emotions! I am trying not to cry and stay strong for everyone - I also had to go off my meds (xanax was my friend in times like this).

We CAN and WILL do this though!

Thanks for your support!!

*hugs*

Liz and Kathy- you and your families are both in my prayers.
My mom is 2.5 years out from Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer and I still live with the fear of it coming back everyday.
I'm thinking about you both((( (HUGS)))))
